Just wondering which forward do you guys think is better.I think there both good. Carlos Ruiz is a great forward who has 8 goals in qualifiers  . He is a great Striker. Omar Bravo(when he plays :D ) seems to most of the time find the back of the net. He wants to go to Europe.

Omar Bravo is the much better forward. He is the leading scorer in Copa LIbertadores. MY vote goes to him

Ruiz is about the only reason why Guatemala are still in the running for the World Cup... I'm pretty sure Mexico could get there without Bravo.

Bravo is better than Ruiz but not by much.... he does go want to go to Europe.. but he really doesnt have the body, to go to europe... thats what i think.... i hope he does, but its gonna be hard for him...

Hummm.. good comparison, if this thread had been started last year i would of said Ruiz without a doubt. However this year has really been a break through year for Omar Bravo. the Chivas striker currently has ten goals in the MFL and five goals scored in Copa Libertadores, making him one of the tourneys leading goal scorers.

Ruiz has played in inferior competitions, so obviously he looks good. What decent striker wont look good scoring against Sacachispas fc, or the Metros. and this years HEX is one of the weakest WCQ groups we have seen. Panama, T&T, who else ? these teams might give you a headache in their cricket footy fields but away they are pretty much cannon fodder. That said if i had my pick i would go with Bravo.

I really wonder how good Ruiz actually is. All I know about him is that he does well in MLS, and does well for Guatemala, but has never played against world class competition except maybe vs. the US in the most recent WCQ (I don't think he's ever played against Mexico, at least not since 2002). And vs. the US he was shut down, but of course that's not fair because he had no support or service.

Ruiz failed to secure a contract when trying out for an EPL team (forget who, Birmingham? Crystal Palace) in ~ 2002-2003, so that basically says that at that time, he was nothing special on that trial. Has he improved since then? Maybe. It's tough to gauge Ruiz, regardless. Personally, I think he's pretty good and I think he could start for the right EPL team at forward as his ability to hold the ball is really world class. Other parts of his game are good too, but he might struggle with a run and gun type of style in the EPL as he pretty much plays a slow game and likes the post up defenders rather than sprint after through balls.

Bravo is good too but I don't know enough about his recent MFL form to comment on how he compares to Ruiz. My suspicion is that he's probably very close to Ruiz in ability, but perhaps better suited for Europe than Ruiz simply because he is used to playing with better competition.

iono Ruiz was amazing 2 years ago. Hes kinda declined since then and all his goals are from PK now. As for Bravo is he even called up for the NT anymore???

Ruiz is kinda struggling with his new team. His not among the top 5 scoring in the league. I belive he does better with his national team.

I would say Bravo because he doesn't dive.

Bro, the season is still young in the MLS. You can't make that statement. Now El Pescadito is the leading goal scorer w/ the goal of the year. The guy is still money. However after watching both Bravo & Pescadito, they are the same to me. They are both small & they need the right team to play on. I think they are the same.

Ruiz. He's more talented than Bravo. He does things that Bravo can't do. It's too bad he won't be able to play against Mexico on Saturday.

For Club, I would pick Bravo; he has the better team around him.

For Country, I would say Ruiz, by far; Bravo hasn't done sh1t at the National Team level.
