Just curious, when did you start following the team?

From those glorious days of Wegerle, Benedetti, & Bobby Houghton!!!

It's been a long frustrating ride my friends!

I started in 2001, as soon as I moved to Colorado.

1999 - the first year I was in Colorado. I didn't really follow MLS a ton before 1999.

I came to Colorado in the summer of 2001 and started going to games at the beginning of the 2002 season. Before that I lived places that didn't have MLS teams. I've followed the league in general since '96 but didn't have any loyalty to any one team until I moved here. I'm hooked now! :D

From the very begining....

I started in 1998 as I followed the Nats up to the disaster in France. As I was looking at MLS teams to support (I lived in Seattle at the time) I remembered that Chris Henderson was a local boy and found what team he was on. I also found out that I worked in the same division at my job as Marcus Hahnemann's father, so the combination of the two made me pick the Rapids.

I'm the same, but change 2001 to 2000 and 2002 to 2001. I bought my first season tickets in 2002. I lived in Boston before Denver but didn't have a car or a good way to get to Foxborough. I followed the Clash when the league started but from my dorm room in PA.

I followed MLS off and on from the beginning. When I lived in Boston I never got into the Revs. 2002 saw me married and getting much more interested in Soccer. I started catching all the highlights and games that I could. The funny part was I don't remember too many Colorado highlights but the ones there were I liked.

Have followed the Rapids since inception. But did not become a season ticket holder till 2002. Rapids' matchday has become a family celebration and tradition around our house! And more importantly helped me relate to my kids and them to me. Win, lose, or draw we always have a blast! :)

I have been following the Rapids ever since the inception of the MLS. But early on, I like the Clash/Earthquakes (I grew up in San Jose and saw George Best, Mike Hewitt, Paul Childe play in the NASL days.) I just liked following the MLS.

At some point in the past several years I have turned into a 100% black and blue Colorado Rapids fan with season tickets, replica jersey and baseball cap to show it!

Similar experience here, including growing up in SJ and going to Quakes/Clash games as a kid. For me, though, it was the 98 World Cup that got me interested in following US soccer. "Hey, maybe I should check out this MLS thing..."

1999. I went to the July 4th Fireworks show at Mile High. Balboa scored in overtime via bicycle kick to put the Rapids on top. I was hooked.

Back in the day of SoccerAmerica's Graffiti board.

Do they still have that?

1997, although I have to clarify that and say that I really "discovered" the MLS when I heard that the Colorado team was going to the finals. So it was very late that season.

It wasn't until 1998 that I began to follow them with any real attention.

I've been a season ticket holder since 2000.

2002, when I moved here. Before that I pulled for DC United, being from Virginia.

2003. I just got into soccer during the world cup in 2002, but I was living in sweden. when I moved back to Denver I discovered that we had a local team, so that's that.

Since the league was announced. How many fans remember the pep rally at the Civic Center when the Rapids went to the MLS Cup? I remember Mayor Webb congratulating the "Rockies" in his speach. Clearly he was a big fan.

Did he correct himself at least!??!?!
