Poor FSC (digital in fact) reception

So I was wondering if anyone in the Mid-Atlantic area on occasion gets FSC and GolTV interrupted with poor reception? It actually occurrs to all the digital channels I get with the 5 buck sports tier package. It is completely random and lasts anywhere from 2 hours to 24 hours. It's simliar to watching a damaged DVD.

Of course Comcast's explanation is, oh you muat have it hooked up wrong :rolleyes: which if anyone has dealt with them you would know that this is one of their many "Don't deal with the customer, push them off to someone else" replies. IOW I have checked and the hook ups are fine.

the cable companies get their channels via satellite. bad weather can affect their satellite reception, and right now in spring there is a phenomenon called "sun outages" where the sun is at just the right angle that it distorts the microwaves coming from the satellites so dishes can't recieve them correctly. it's usually only around for a week and it hits the worst at noontime.
