Clubs that Dissapeared ???

Hola amigos peruanos,

I have a question for you guys about some teams that I never hear of anymore and that I see don't even appear in the second division. I was wondering if these clubs still exist or just dissapeared.

1. Ciclista Lima (i think they were around for over 100 years)
2. Lawn Tennis
3. Dep. Pesquero ???

I know these clubs were probably way down in the pecking order and probably went back and forth between divisions. I just remember that when they used to rattle off the scores from Peru, these were teams that were mentioned and I no longer hear about them. (there's probably a few others as well that I can't think of ...)

Good topic, but even if they still exist, they may not always compete.

IIRC, I could have sworn that Lawn Tennis almost made it back to the 1st division.

My uncle always tells me about his favorite club, Atletico Chalaco, who won the 2004 Liga del Callao tournament, so we all hope they make it back.

1. Ciclista Lima I think is gone for good. :(
2. Lawn Tennis is still around.. doing the local divisions I believe.
3. Deportivo Pesquesro is now Deportivo Wanka. They moved from Chimbote to Huancayo. They were recently relegated to the second division.

Another team that disappeared and that even won the championship was San Agustin. Jose "Chemo" Del Solar became champions with them.

I believe Ciclista Lima was Peru's first club. Founded in the late 1890s I believe.

I wonder what would be the worth of these teams, or any teams from provincias, if they wanted to sell. Say for instance say I wanted to purchase Bolognesi, what much would I have to invest to buy them?

Yurimaguas was bought out by a few Universitario socios who have now made it a Universitario youth and reserve team.

the 1st div needs a team from iquitos and we need al muni back where they belong

Definately C.N.I! My uncle used to play for them...
And of course Muni!
Kinda funny about Muni... I just noticed that all my uncles (my mother's brothers) are all closet Muni fans. Funny how they were talking about that if they won the lottery they would all buy Muni. :D

my grandfather was the same, he held a soft spot for muni as do most of my older relatives
