On April 11th I asked Sounders owner/GM Adrian Hanauer about Seattle MLS...He gave this brief but enlightening response...

MLS is still of interest to me, but I am not going to do it alone. When
someone else in Seattle (or somewhere else in the world) steps up to support
professional soccer in this community, I will be there to partner with them.
I have been birddogging the community for 2 years now, and have yet to find
someone dying to invest in MLS. I have found several minor partners, but
have yet to find someone willing to step up to be a major partner. I am
hopeful, though, that as the league continues to make progress... That
someone will come out of the woodwork to help support the cause.

MLS continues to eye Seattle...Seattle continues to seek ownership willing to invest and lose in the short term.

Interesting that Hanauer mentioned "the world" when talking about where help might come from. Deportivo Saprissa Seattle, anyone?*

(*Hanauer has built "connections" with Costa Rican clubs for players in recent years.)
