Jose Mourinho has now surpassed chief executive Peter Kenyon as the most important man at Chelsea
Tribal football has the following reprt,

The Independent says Mourinho's new £5.2 million-a-year deal reveals a shift in power which confirms Mourinho and not Kenyon, the chief executive, as the more important man at the club and also signifies Jorge Mendes, Mourinho's agent, as an increasingly influential force in his own right.

There is no one bigger than Mourinho at Chelsea, and not just because there is no one who will be more highly paid.

"At the end of the day PK [Peter Kenyon] realises how seriously Mr A (Roman Abramovich) takes it all," says one source.

"So what else could he do?"

Indeed, Mourinho has now been handed the most incredible of mandates. No transfer target will be refused, no resource denied. If a winter training camp needs to be established on the Algarve, for instance, it will be. If Mourinho wants to rip up his squad and start again (which he doesn't) then the cheques will be written.

"He can have the money for whatever he wants," a source says.
will this go on to make chelsea even greater?

And this is the way it should be. Mourinho is so good he is making all his fellow coaches in England and Europe look bad. Just his first season in England, and Chelsea have just dominated giving the impression that they haven't worked a sweat and the best is yet to come. Like Mourinho said you won't see the best of Chelsea till his 3rd season with the team when they fully grasp his tactical ideas. It is scary for the rest to imagine how good Chelsea can become! He is making the english premier league look bad when his teams receives a goal in like every 300 minutes or so and they don't even work hard to win. Like Mourinho himself said he is even changing the league with teams leaving the 4-4-2 and long ball style to now some teams using the 4-5-1 like Chelsea. In the champions league Chelsea dominated Barcelona at the camp nou when it was 11 vs 11 (and barcelona the best team in europe at the moment according to most) and they scored how many vs barcelona at stanford bridge?? 2 games and 8 goals against teams like Barcelona and Bayern Munich, that is one difficult task.

Chelsea has the potential to become a dynasty in Europe and in England. With Mourinho in Charge they will win more than 1 championship in both competitions this decade that is a safe bet. I think they can do what Boca Jrs did in the American continent, and dominate the continental championship and their local tournament as well and become a dinasty. Both teams are similar in terms of having a coach that seems to be in a level above everyone else around them tactically, they have won their continental championship with small budget teams, then moved on to a big team and dominated domestically and continental wide.

I think Clan posted a longer version of this somewhere else. It looks as though tribalfootball copy/pasted bits from the other article. It was an interesting read.

There should be a rule though about opening a thread off of something read in a Tribal Football article.

Anyone have the link to the article Clan had? I refuse to read anything by Tribal Football because they are all 12yr olds who can't tell their head from their ass and know less about football.
