after years of great service over 100 games and 19 goals(4th all time)

el chorri years seem to have acaught up with him, he can still be usefull of the bench but he donst have the same impact he once did

so who do you guys think should succed him?

some options

Juan Comingues - Colon de Santa Fe
the obvious choice, born in 1983 hes young tall and already playing in a better league, unfortunatly hes currenlty injured(damm you juan)

Henry Quinteros - Sporting Cristal
seemed the obvious choice at one point, but could never raise his game for peru, seems to be destined to be a good club player turns 28 this year

Aldo Olcese - Alianza Lima
2 years younger than chorri, another player that never lived up to his club reputation

Julio Garcia - Morelia
after his sudamericana performance he seemed to be peru's future 10, now finds himself on teh bench of morelia(bad club choices, like chorri)

Carlos Lobaton - Cienciano
had a good 2004 season, now hes being used on the bench because of the arrival of the colombian player

Hilden Salas- Melgar
they say he plays like chorri, he turns 25 this year, i think he hasnt had the international exposure(no libertadores, no sudamericana)

Alex Magallanes - Universitario
seemed like his playing days were numbered, then he had a great 2004 season with huaral, now hes la U's number 10, his biggest downside is his age only a year younger than chorri

Although it is really a shame how Henry's career ended up. I remember back in 2001 he was rumored to go to Argentina (Rosario Central i believe) but for some reason he went to Cristal

henry stopped growing as a futbol player after sandro baylon passed away

hes been at the same level since then, the guy has the skills to be better

i 2 vote for cominges hopefully the injury dosnt affect him

cominges is the obvious choice. any news when he will be back from injury? the guy has all skills needed to be a better player than palacios

i have some hopes for junior viza as well hopefully that clown insua gives him the playing time he deserves

with insua in charge both viza and sanchez seem destined to ride the bench

i guess i should have made the poll public :D

I vote for Cominges also. He is the obvious succesor. He's a bit slow sometimes, but he can improve that. Julio Garcia is still young, so he needs to get out of there and go back to Peru. I think his style would've been great for the colombian league. He would've been awesome there.

Cominges is the only one, after that there is absolutely nobody. Peru used to have good "playmakers" now we DON'T HAVE ANYBODY. What happened?? Peru got tired of play pretty and loosing, now we don't play pretty and still loose. #@#$$!!

Juan Cominges is the logical choice, since out of all those sorry s.o.b.s he is the only one who can keep and change the pace of the midfield, all of the rest(except Garcia & quinteros) are the typical peruvian league #10 who only try to do a couple of wall passes and send long balls like zegarra...

to be fair zegarra is not a 10, hes not a defensive mid either.

I dont think anyone knows what he is

he started as a left back before being moved up to the midfield like most peruvian fullbacks

id call him a left mid and leave it at that

There have been so many failures that haven't lived up to the hype of taking the "10". Kukin, carmona, maldonado, nationalized tempone, pinillos come to mind. All rejects. :o

kukin was/is the biggest bust of them all, so much talent yet no brain to go with it

pablo zegarra never lived up to his billing

I was certain Renzo Sheput would be a firm candidate for the #10 jersey, I really liked him. Does he even start at whatever crap team he plays for now?

He's got the talent but I always saw him as a little bit of a pecho frio.
