How jealous is the hierarchy of CONCACAF. Seems like they cannot handle Mexico striking out and doing anything on their own. Do they believe that the Mexican clubs will take the CONCACAF champions league more seriously if they can not play in the Copa Libertadores.

I see it the other way.

MLS teams can qualify if they don't have to pre-qualify. And he's right, any team that placed second does not deserve to have to play pre-qualifying games.

here's to Mexico kick some SA butt.

Maybe this is to avoid another KC-Moriella Champions Cup situation. No Liberadores qualifiers = more open dates for CONCACAF Champions Cup games.

The MLS does not have a contract with CONMEBOl so their chance to qualify is a moot point.

The TFC's bad intentions are obvious. Especially considering the fact that the Mexican Clubs ardous pre qualifying is set by the MFL. The Conmebol never really set a pre qualifying standard for the MFL clubs. The TFC allready tried to take away Mexicos permanent guest status in Copa America and failed and now this. Most likely they are trying to muscle some money from the MFL...

It sounds like CONCACRAP wants direct qualifyers from Mexico. It may be the MFL who wants the qualifing systems so they can make the money off of it.. For once I see some logic in what Blazer wants. Mexican clubs have shown they are as good as any club in South America and they should be treated as such.

Dear CONCACA,
Take your filthy paws off of a good thing.

Sincerely

Nobody lets them. They're too big and have invested interests that are way too large. So since Caribean and Central American countries have a vote just like Mexico, Mexico is shunted aside.

Same thing happens in CONMEBOL, Argentina and Brazil will never run the show. The other countries won't let them.

Again, you are confusing apples with oranges. I read the article. I think that the whole idea is to have Mexican clubs qualify directly and not eliminating themselves with a 4th division Venezuelan club.

So innocent, so innocent its anyone who believes in Warner G...SS. The MFL had already tried to have a berth to the Libertadores Cup without the
pre-libertadores, but in words of the CONMEBOL: the Tournament its just for CONMEBOL teams. AND WARNER KNOW THIS!!!!

Does anyone think that if we invite Joe Republic to the "pre-pre" Warner can change his position?

If you has bothered to read what I wrote in the Mexican forum about what CONCACAF leadership is really trying to do instead of making personal attacks you would understand my post.

thats why the current sytem works so well

mexico gives money to venezuela wich helps them make their league better

and mexico benefits by taking part in a serious comp

why fix something that isnt broken?

Because the powers that be in CONCACAF don't like the FMF.

They do like the FMF money though, and they'll do whatever they can to get more of it.
