Watching MLS Wrap live at 12:00 AM ET. So as the show starts they put up the ticker. So far so good. It has a lot of scores, but not all of them. Namely no MLS scores (maybe because it's MLS Wrap, if so that's understandable), but it also is missing some other ones.
For example, PSV vs Den Bosch is simply listed as "1:30 PM ET". So they don't have the score for a match that ended 8.5 hours ago? Come on.
It's not the first time I've noticed this. Not sure what the deal is. Did the production staff leave early?

I don't know about them, but ESPN's ticker, I believe, is produced by an outside group or subsidiary. It really is astounding at the level of competance those places sometimes have. It probably had nothing to do with the people running the show unfortunately.

Does this really matter? If the company that does FSC's ticker is crap then they should hire another one. Its been like this since the ticker was introduced. Games that have been completed for hours with no score. Whether or not FSC is actually updating it, its a reflection on them and their professionalism.

Similar problems tonight on the EPL Review Show. They managed to have live updates of a Mexican game going on, but no score at all for Deportivo La Coruna v Villareal (3:00 ET KO) and some German game (11:30 AM KO!). Is no one watching when this happens?
I realize in many ways this is a cable access channel, but no reason to reinforce the notion unnecessarily. If they can't get it right, just kill it.

It matters to me in the fact that it has nothing to do with the show on the screen. May sound like a small point, but an important one to me.

On last night's (4/19) FSW Report, the Bolton v Middlesbrough score was missing. It seems completely stupid that they give the score and show highlights on the show while the ticker can't be bothered to show the score. I realize that it's two different people doing each, but still.
If the ticker is that darn complicated, then drop it. It is completely embarassing.

What's so frustrating is that it seems so easy to do with technology being what it is today. They could have a monkey sitting at a terminal and simply copying www.livescore.com as it changes.

Seriously, give me a $100 a day and I'll do a better job from my desk at work.

My feeling on this topic is this: If we are quiet about it, it will go away. It's the overall one thing everyone hates, and the day it expands into the live games we are watching, it will completely ruin them. Soccer watchers are like no other fans. We tape game upon game upon game for consumption later. And an in-game ticker will ruin it. Notice how GolTV has a "ding" to announce the arrival of their scores ticker. They are the only ones doing it right.
Thx,
Jay!

Well the FSC people's stupid ticker just ruined a game for me. After watching C.Palace-Liverpool, I left FSC on and was planning on watching the Boro-WBA game they were showing at 3PM. As far as I know, this game was only available on FSC and the 3PM showing would have been the first time anyone here could have seen the game. After the C.Palace game, some Asian football show comes on and I glance up at it. The ticker is on and it flashes the score for the Boro-WBA game! What complete and utter idiots are there running FSC?
Your stupid ticker is giving away scores to games only shown on your own channel. I guess that settles it. I'm staying away from FSC as much as possible. I'm sure your advertisers must love your useless ticker pushing people away from watching your programs. The ticker is useless at best. I guarantee nobody was watching FSC on Friday trying to get MLS scores from the previous saturday. What a joke of a channel.
