Hello all,

Mike is due to call in around 10:30pm tonight if you are interested.

BTW, I dig this board (and specifically this forum) a lot. I want to post sometimes but you guys (and girls) seem to know your stuff so I get intimidated...which I guess is more indicative of what a wuss I am more than anything else.

Welcome Roche, Thanks for the tip. Jump on in, the water here's fine. This board isn't nearly as bad (for getting slammed) as the USMNT or YANKS ABROAD boards. At least we TRY to be civil in our disagreements.

Let me get this straight, you put your voice out on the airwaves everynight and you get intimidated by a bunch of people who sh!t around their computers talking about soccer?

Let me explain.

They asked if I wanted to play and I jumped at the chance...provided I played with Petke (who has become a good friend). I play golf as well as I play soccer (badly). So I wanted to play with a friend so I wouldn't feel as nervous when I screw up.

So I get there and they tell me that some guys paid a nice chunk of change to play with Mike so I was S.O.L. The funny part was that they tried to placate me with the reasoning that he would tee off just in front of me. Like how often to you hang out with the group in FRONT of you?

I had a great time though and will definitely do it again if I'm asked back.

Props to you for donating to United for DC but why anyone would PAY to hang out with that wanker is beyond me! ;)

I meant to send that earlier note via PM so I deleted my post and was going to resend it after the interview. Always good to hear team members on the radio and props to DC 101 for getting them on.

Hopefully I will be asked back by Matt, the leader of our group and we'll play with Mike again. I'll even volunteer to split up so you can play a few holes with Mike. Unless of course the five of us become Els, Woods, Singh, Mickelson and Goosen in the next five months and contend for the tournament title, then we stay together.
