With MU's loss yesterday, it only takes 5 to eliminate them. A small point, perhaps, but I think significant, akin to being 4 points off the drop zone, but with several teams in the way, versus 4 points off same with no one between.

Or to use a horse racing analogy, we're at the quarter pole with an 11 length lead and only one horse now chasing as "Manchester Red" fades...

Yes and as the next game is Arsenal so we can eliminate them too.

So near yet so far, can Chelsea really throw it at this point?

We still have to play both Charlton and Fulham.
No disrespect to them, but that should be 6 points right there.

Arsenal, quite probably, won't win all the rest of their remaining games, making those 6 points alone enough to win the title.

Clan, you thinking about altering the name of the Chelsea forum tagline by any chance in the upcoming weeks? ;)

Oh, when the trophy is lifted, a request wouldn't be amiss :)

I like the ring of "League and league cup winners" personally. :D

Carling shmarling. Nice to bag a trophy - but that's the least important in prestige. I'm wanting to see a 'League Winner' tag attached to Chelsea - for the first time in my lifetime. And the CL will be a nice bonus if we can bag it!!

You have your sights set too low. I was thinking "Treble? So what's the big deal?"

If we beat Arsenal and then beat Fulham, we're the champs. Beating Arsenal would be the icing on the cake for me.

It would be nice icing - but really not *that* important. The CL semi-finals are on the 26/27 and 3/4 and really fill up the schedule. That would be Arsenal, ManU and 'pool [or Juve] twice in the space of three weeks. Only two of those really count :) .

We need to take care of business against Fulham, Bolton and Charlton. Field a team of reserves for the other games for all I care. Just get that League title!!

I love having "Money buys nice things". Just to stick it to the naysayers.

I loved this line:

Get to work you idle scoundrel! And if you don’t want to, let others work in peace!
