So I just got inspired (http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/20050406-9999-lz1s7goal.html) by the Romanians, and I want people's feedback.
1. Can we get away with it?
2. If we hit (pttt, pttt, pttt) a dry spell like 2000-2003, I could easily imagine some of us starting to do stuff like that. Couldn't you?
ONLY IN SOCCER
Romanian fans are known for being a tad on the superstitious side, but supporters of Arges Pitesti went a little overboard last week. They (yes) buried a dead cat outside the stadium and then burned a rooster inside it and tied red string on the goalposts to rid the stadium of what they deemed to be an evil curse. And what happens? Arges Pitesti ties 1-1 in its next match and remains in 12th place in the 16-team first division, still in danger of being relegated to the second division next season. Which means the Arges fans will merely step it up a level. As one fan told a Romanian newspaper: "We'll ask our players to wear their underwear inside out for the (next) match."
