Okay, its great they created a show to focus on youth and amatuer soccer, but this thing sucks major ass. Not one, but two, segments where the main point was finding out "What's in your i-pod"?? The male host creeps me out when he looks above the camera to read off the teleprompter.....someone needs to teach the boy how to memorize his 5 seconds of dialogue. They couldn't have found a hotter chick to co-host? The segment about the Dallas Cup and the Las Vegas tournament were fine.....that's what this show should be. Everything else needs to be ditched. Thoughts??

i think the female host is pretty cute, but yeah i don't give a damn what music random people on the street are listening to, i don't see why that is relevant to the show at all. hopefully we see more of heather mitts and less of the hosts trying to be funny.

I didn't catch this show so I have some questions.
Is this show about U15 tournaments and such or is it about serious stuff like USL, MLS, and the national team (all levels of the Nats)?

This is, perhaps, the worst program EVER in this history of television -- and that is really saying something.
I wonder if Fox has any idea what the heck their target market is looking for??? I wonder if they even have a target market.
I suppose if you just mention I-pods a few times in your broadcast they figure young people will watch -- brilliant.
This show is so bad, I had to turn it off after about 15 minutes -- even though Heather Mitts is gorgeous and I at least wanted to see her segment. Why can't they have a show highlighting US soccer -- show a few clips of the USMNT match -- show a few of our YA and a few stories about up and coming young americans (Gaven, Adu, Marshall, etc . . .) certainly couldn't be more expensive than what they are doing now and probably more than 5 poeple would watch.

I'm glad you guys caught this as quick as you did. (I was going to start a thread if one didn't exist.)
This is the single worst thing I can think of FSC doing with the "soccer magazine" format. What would be great is if FSC produced a magazine show that was truly about soccer in the U.S. (and even lesser known interest stories from abroad.) The template should be along the lines of "World Football Show" which features interesting segments each week on a variety of teams and personel and special interest stories that are wonderful to learn about. Some of the segments on this show would fit that template nicely, and I didn't particularly object to that content. But the pop-culture stuff has got to go, and fast. I can't think of anything that would better demonstrate how confused FSC is than this afternoon/evening's programming which went from the CONCACAF match between DC and Pumas, to this awful dreck, to the FSW Report. How did they figure that would make sense?
And the hosts are obviously horrible, but they're clearly designed to stand there and be pretty for teens.

I got through the first five minutes and had to stop recording it. I then deleted it from my TiVo as quickly as possible.
There's a reason I watch stuff like FSC and GolTV instead of stuff like MTV...

Heather Mitts is on the show. That is one positive. They obviously have a lot of work to do on this.

The Lisa girl...... is she the same host that used to be on a kids themed show about the Knicks and Rangers on MSG ?

I guess I'm not of the same opinion here. Sure the hosts were kinda annoying but making programs like this are what is going to make this sport a permanent fixture in this country. With gradual improvement this could be a really cool program.
Remember NBA inside stuff? That was a VERY WELL DONE program by the NBA that helped keep kids in the loop about everything basketball. That's what Fox is trying to do here and I will gladly applaud them for it.

I thought it was pretty good overall. The bits with Christopher Sullivan and Heather Mitts were good, as was the story of the Israeli-Palestinian boys soccer team that competed in Texas.
The only parts that were really unnecessary "as is" were the i-pod bits. If they decide to continue with those, they should at least find artists who are also soccer fans and have them briefly discuss how soccer affects their music and vice versa. But it's important that all the bits have something to do with soccer.
There's certainly some work to do, but it's definitely a show worth improving. We die-hards already have our MLS and U.S. soccer shows (MLS Wrap, American Soccer, The Soccer Files, etc.) - it's good to have at least one show like this to appeal to the younger "hip" demographic (and more American youngsters are playing soccer than ever before)... that way, all the bases are covered.

But it's important that all the bits have something to do with soccer.I think you're on to something. If they're going to stick with this format, they need to at least shift the focus of "pop culture" bits from what some random person on the street is listening to on their iPod (ooh, gripping) to interviews with either famous people who like soccer or "general interest" pieces on US soccer players about what sort of music they like (maybe they can ask GAM what his favorite video game is).
Was never a big fan of "Inside Stuff," even when I was in the target audience, but I can sort of see the appeal to the youngins in that sort of program. Thing is, though, how many tweens/younger teens who are watching FSC are watching it because they want to see people talking about iPods, and how many kids are really going to be sold on/converted by it when the show's on Fox Soccer Channel?
