We can discuss that next year when you will get to see him play every weekend and not just for the national side.

How did you guess. He doesn't even start for Villa.

Hey, I have PREMIERE and therefore able to see my fair share of Aston Villa games. He didn't impress me at all when I saw him play. I even liked better what I saw of Volz.
If he does well for Stuttgart next season for me that only means that the Bundesliga is just worse than the EPL!

He certainly was impressive when he was trying to stop Bowyer from Dyer

Yes Volz is a good player as well, but anyway I see VFB having a good team next season since as far as I know Lahm will remain at least for another season with them.

The only concern for me with VFB is that I do not rate Sammer as a great coach.

no way lahm is staying at stuttgart beyond this summer...

LB is bayerns most problematic spot and lahm is simply the best solution...

Lahm will be with Bayern next season, no doubt about that.

About Hitzlsperger, I've watched a lot of Villa games this season and last and Hitzlesperger was fantastic in each game, he scored the winner twice this season when being brought on. O'Leary is an idiot for not starting him a lot this seaon, last he started nearly every game and scored quite a few sensational goals. His left foot is incredible and he has great positioning.

Of course, he is a Bayern product ;)

I appologize as I have misread that he was trying to return from his injury to VFB before he leaves VFB to Bayern. :o

I couldn't get the point when I "misread" it....coz as scorpio81 explained LB is the weakest point for the Bauern.

I also get the impression he wants a move back to Germany so that he can work his way into Germany's 2006 WC squad.

Okay, Klinnsmann came out and said there was no need to, but I think for the sake of maybe the German media and fans - he kinda had to. It would have been difficult, because the press would have put pressure on other players to be in the squad and would have overshadowed what he was doing at Villa.

That said, he wasn't an out and out first-teamer there, so it should be a good move for him.

I share the same opinion. Sammer has only had successs because he has been with top teams. He may have done a pretty good job with stuttgart this season but that was on the platform created by Magath. I also don't like the defensive game he has assigned us,even though it has beenvery effective at times.

As for Hitzlsperger, you guys can think what you want, but personally i am overjoyed that he is joining us and i think he willbring alot to the side. And why look beyond my opinion? ;)

As a Dortmund fan, I completely agree with the Sammer sentiments. One of the major reasons for our downfall is that Sammer couldn't teach the team anything. Tactically, he's a freakin' moron. He only kept the job that extra season because he's a BVB Legend.

Stuttgart had better see the light soon, or he'll destroy that team too.

I'm banking on it. He destroyed the confidence and spirt of the Dortmund team so badly the team are only just now beginning to trust each other and their coach again.

As far as Hitzlsperger goes, he's a "talent" with loads of potential. I feel for him. I feel he's going to regret signing with VfB because of Sammer.

Sammer has proven he can push and demand, but he cannot TEACH worth a damn.

If you think I'm just a bitter Dortmund fan venting, my first offer of proof to you is the decline in Tomas Rosicky's abilities after he joined BVB.

You might counter with Christoph Metzelder, but I'll tell you Juergen Kohler, Stefan Reuter and Christian Woerns built Metzelder into what he is. I believe Sammer had little to do with it.

Good luck to Hitzlsperger and Stuttgart. With Sammer at the helm, you guys are going to need it.......
