 My God, we have winners here !! You discovered football 3 years ago or what !? I'm speechless...That's the dumbest counter ever, I expected something else really. Would you please stop posting here, keep that for your Korean fellows and don't spoil my bandwidth.
Another nail in the coffin of Korean posters credibility...Or at least yours to be fair.
Whoa, easy there fella.
The video speaks for itself... you on the other hand... well... it's all geriatrics.
As a cherry on top, I'll post the clip again. Why? Because I can...

Frankly, before coming to BS, I had no preconceived opinion on Koreans-cos I didn't have to-and even if I must restrict my current observations to present posters...The prestige of your country must have been hampered somewhere...
The sheer fact that you think I'm fanatically biased on this penalty issues just confirms you don't really know the game. As I said I watched the match a second time and the British commentators agreed with me, it was a penalty, full stop, period. I really wouldn't have any problem admitting the opposite if it was the case.
As for your 'handball' call, the rule is clear, it has to be a deliberate gesture, I don't think that a deflected ball by a tumbling defender is a serious call...And at most, it would have been a FK...

Funny, I never made one comment on whether or not you were biased on this whole issue of whether Lyon deserved a PK, but now I do know you're biased.
How do I know? Because that video shows how deliberate the LYon player is with his intentional attempt to block that shot on goal.
Settle down, guy.

A player who throws himself in order to block a shot is not really a foul, even if the ball touches his arm...You need to watch more matches guy...

You can say Lyon did deserve the penalty, but then we can argue that PSV deserved one as well with that intentional hand ball. He saw Park setting up to shoot, the defender wasn't able to recover his positioning from the tussel with Roberts, so what did he do? He fell towards Park to block the shot. His focus (eye and hand movement) was obviously trying to stop the ball, he even had to roll towards Park to break his fall, which he over did as well. A hand ball in this situation is deliberate because he knew Park was going to shoot.

If Lyon were truly the superior side then they would have scored more goals in regular time to win the maych, but they didn't.Stop trying to balance the match on that refs "supposedly" mistake on that call.

it depends on the situation. Let's think of a hypothetical situation: a field player has his arms spread out without thinking in front of the goal, and a superfast ball comes, hits his arm and doesn't go in. It wasn't handball per se, because he didn't mean to handle the ball. However, it gave him unfair advantage. Therefore, ref should call handball whether the player intended to handle the ball or not. The clip is very dubious. I dont think the defender handled the ball on purpose, but it clearly gave him an advantage.
Secondly, PSV players were hacked to death that match. park almost broke his nose after someone elbowed him. It was clear the whole Lyon's plan was "piss off Bommel asap." Stop complaing about refs.
lastly, your quote
if I must restrict my current observations to present posters...The prestige of your country must have been hampered somewhere...
i realy dont understand. someone disagrees and posts a clear handball, and you have to assault his country for it. very very low.

OMG, it's so true I've been sooooooooooooo mean in my declaration...
BTW, you're not the best positioned poster to tackle me on this Mr. Nice Guy...
To prove that my main goal is to be objective, I kinda agree with what Soju wrote there.
As for the game, PSv deserved their win, but Lyon's offense was definitely sharper, more precise, and more threatening. They were razor edge. It's just that PSV played better as a unit than Lyon did. Lyon looked out of sorts at midfield.
And some of you might just try to reread some of my posts concerning the whole game...

Lyon's weakness is their arrogance...it has been said before.
It was funny to see Juninho after they lost...he could absolutely NOT believe they were just beaten. Like he was watching a film all the time and only after the bad ending he all of a sudden he realizes he is part of that film LMAO :o

Utter stupidity once again. Juninho was disappointed and frustrated, he's been in Lyon for a long time and wanted to reach the semis. What's wrong with that ? Plus, the match was tight, flawed and finished in a heartbreaking penalty session...
I hope you do not master in psychology...Anyway your ability to understand very simple things says it all...

Apparently 'Beas' has found his place in a successful team. Hiddink has two options, Hesselink for strength and DaMarcus for pace.

The rule is : if the player touches the ball deliberately in the surface, there's penalty. It depends on the interpretation of the referee.

Juninho's attitude is ******** anyway... he's the kind of player that let the others do all the dirty work, but when they have a victory he is the first one to claim it. I am happy that this kind of lazy play got punished by PSV. If Juninho would have worked a little bit harder and didnt let Essien and mostly Diarra do all the dirty work they could have beaten PSV's midfield. What a dumb player he is. :o
He thinks he is a gifted player, extraordinaire. PSV made him realize is just ordinair. :)

But if it was a deliberate hand ball dont you think that the player would have argued it, watching that video after it went wide he just looked like he was dissapointed with himself. In every game I have seen if the player thinks it was a handball he argues it, and in that video there was no arguing.

Show us some declaration to prove he's claiming the credit for the victories of his team. I would be curious to know if you heard him speak just one time ...

Lyon will meet PSV again.
Drawing of lots of Peace Cup
The drawing of lots of Peace Cup took place today in Korea, where Remi Garde and Olivier Blanc represented the OL, in front of a floor of more than 800 people.
Verdict: the OL will find well the PSV Eindhoven with the first turn, the revenge of the finale of the preceding edition, and the quarterfinal of the League of the Champions!
Here matches of the OL in Korea:
July 15, 2005 in Busan: OL - Ounce Caldas (Champion of Colombia)
July 17, 2005 in Ulsan: OL - Seongnam Ilhwa (Champion of Korea)
July 20, 2005 in Suwon: OL - PSV Eindhoven (Champion of the Netherlands)
In the event of qualification for the final, while being first of its group, the OL would find on July 24, the stage of Seoul, where the Champion of France had disputed the final of the edition 2003.
I personally think that Lyon should be touring North America instead of Korea.

I agree with you, the north america tour is a lot more prestigious than this one, but maybe there's more money given in Korea (we all known Aulas !) ...
