And now you're coming back here to cry to mama (mod)?

You came here to troll, you moron, and I'll treat you
like one. This is the "France" forum, this thread was
about a Lyon CL game and I took it personnaly (Lyon
is where I'm from). You came right after the game
to write:
"I have to say I am glad PSV advanced","What a dirty
team Lyon are","I am glad Lyon did not make it through"

Did you post this in PSV's thread, on the Dutch forum?
Or on the Beasley's thread, in the YA forum?
No, right? You just had to come here and rub it in.

Now go try this crap in any club/country's NT forum on this
website after a tough loss (PK's),for a very important
game and see the reactions. But you know that already,
don't you? You're just playing stupid, right?

Actually, I just linked to the psv-lyon thread that was on the home page. I do not troll. The issue is not you disagreeing with me, someone else did that also, noting they thought Van Bommel was trying to get Lyon players booked, fair enough reply. The problem is your choice of words, very demeaning personally - typically something someone without an intelligent argument resorts to - and not acceptable. Your team losing is not an excuse for such a personal attack (nothing about my post was personal).

Gentlemen or whatever happen to be posting around here. Take the insults to the rivalries area. Keep it friendly or this gets locked up.

Thanks a lot for the diplomacy ;)

If you want...I think i stated the same for the Monaco match, PSV were stronger mentally, that's for sure.

Again, no, no and no !! Put things in context, Lyon thrashed Bremen, the whole press and cunning Hiddink made Lyon the favourite for the tie, Le Guen just accepted that fact. Once again, you really want to understand it the way that suits you...Le Guen basically said : we're in the favourite position for that match and talked about what he thought were his team's assets, that's all, no big deal. But if you find it sweeter that the arrogant French side has been thrown out by the frank hard-working honnest tiny PSV, as you wish.

When did I say that I thought Lyon arrogant? I like French football and much prefer it to Italian football, notably. I did hear several French players, as well as the manager, as well as some French posters on here, proclaim Lyon the favourites. The bookmakers thought so as well, and there's nothing wrong with that as such, it's just that I thought that tactically they weren't prepared for PSV, notably underestimating the strengths of the Koreans. Secondly, Lyon weren't effective enough and didn't make the most of their chances, whereas PSV did. Thirdly, there will always be bad refereeing mistakes, Lyon could have had what's his name sent off for example. Some decisions go for you, some against. But they didn't necessarily influence the result.

What I personally think lost Lyon the tie is the way they played after PSV equalised in Lyon. Your players looked very tired and uninspired after that. I don't know if it was a mental thing or a physical thing, probably both (PSV did look more fit overall) but there you go.

Anyway... next year psv will do like Porto did after they won the CL :D (But PSV won't win it this year).

It's already an amazing result that they got to the semis. I don't think they'll be very disappointed if they crash in the semis even.

The point being, I can understand you're all disappointed but I thought the French wouldn't begrudge a Dutch side doing well, and I thought there was mutual respect for each other's football.

I have respect for PSV ! Very disciplined team but i can't stand the way they play and the behaviour of players such as Von Bommel, sorry! A Porto Bis side(with less talent). Besides, i'm still frustrated to see Lyon getting out with out having lost a game. But that's the way football goes.

We have respect of course for dutch football, you're having great results at the moment, the thing is we're just too disappointed to admit it.

I don't know about the penalty, i think Nilmar goes to the ground a bit too much theatrickly. What i can't understand is why the ref whistled as Malouda entered the box. I never seen that before. It makes you wonder.
It's true also that Diarra could have been sent off.
But then in the first leg, PSV made a lot of fouls just to slow the pace down.
Collina had his blinders on that day.

Look, you won everything easily in the CL until you met PSV. Don't you think that PSV had at least something to do with it that you didn't play that well?

Van Bommel can be very annoying, yes, but at home in Eindhoven he was brilliant, and he's a truly class player. As is Cocu, as is Park, and it's that midfield that controlled the game for PSV. Of course Lyon has more creative players in their side, but don't forget PSV lost their ENTIRE attack to the premiership last season. This isn't a rich club to European standards, this isn't a rich club compared to Lyon even. So I think you should give them some respect, at least, as the Dutch would give Lyon respect if they had lost. Again, we have nothing, absolutely nothing against the French. We'd much rather have a French club in the final than an Italian one or them Russian-English barstewards.

notably underestimating the strengths of the Koreans.

This is completely untrue, I'm sorry. Reveillère, the right-back did a great match wednesday against Park, he knew him and knew what he was able to do ...
When you talk about "underestimating", it's not respectful at all for Lyon. Lyon was not over-confident but they just didn't succeed ...

And stop saying that we don't have respect for PSV. I just ask you not to pretend that Lyon underestimated PSV or had some kind of conptemptuous attitude with the PSV ... (except maybe for the chairman (Aulas), but everyone hates him in France ...)

Frankly, I've watched the highlughts of the game on Eurosport afterwards, cool headed and all ; and it was definitely a penalty ! If you don't wistle there, you'll never do...

Unfortunately, I think it's a perverse effect due to the cheaters and divers, referees are less keen to give a penalty even when it's legit. Anyway, we'll never know if that would have been a goal in the end.

Take a close look at Nilmar's right foot. He's already planting it in the ground before the keeper is near him, he's clearly diving.

Ofcourse I'm biased a bit... :p

Isn't a two foot dive always a schwalbe? He was clearly going for the penalty, there was nothing else he could do in this situation, the ball was almost out of play.

Foul in the penalty box = penalty, period !

There's a difference between cheating and provoking your opponent in order to make him commit a foul on you.

That pretty much balances out Lyon fans and supporters claims that they deserved a PK.

 My God, we have winners here !! You discovered football 3 years ago or what !? I'm speechless...That's the dumbest counter ever, I expected something else really. Would you please stop posting here, keep that for your Korean fellows and don't spoil my bandwidth.

Another nail in the coffin of Korean posters credibility...Or at least yours to be fair.
