Not only for the Addicks but for most EPL squads.
It's as if suddenly the referees have decided that no home team is going to get any advantage at all. Newcastle probably deserved that loss, but what about the foul on Shearer in the box. And the Aston Villan handball in the box as well. Just poor.
Or am I just exaggerating?

I think that the advent of video replay killed most homer calls. If a ref gives questionable calls to the home team, his decisions can be reviewed and fined or suspended.

Rob,
This may be true. But it almost seems the refs are making calls against the home team because they are the home team.
Video replay hasn't seem to create the air of fairness. It's only given the road team more advantage.
Hopefully this will help us in our match at Portsmouth.

Good point. Lets hope that it works in the Addicks favor at Portsmouth.
Despite video replay, there are some venues where the visiting team is can assume a disadvanteage. It is often argued that when a MLS team goes to Latian America they usually recieve one red card. The same is argued for the USMNT. Is this true? It is debatable, but it is one of the most common mentioned on these boards.
