The 4-4-2 should be alive and well. It's time to take chances and get results.

It is also time for Curbs to bring into the squad some of the younger and less used players. And I don't mean Fish again.

Here's my lineup:
Kiely
Young - Perry - Fortune - HH
Murphy - Holland - Konchesky - Thomas
Jeffers - Bartlett

Subs: Andersen, Kishishev, Lisbie, Sam, Euell.

No more Fish. No more Hughes. No JJ this time. No more excuses and laziness.

Let's see the heart. Let's see victory at Portsmouth. Go Addicks.

If Charlton can not get at least a point, UEFA Cup is all but gone. Three would help the cause even more. Portsmouth is facing the relegation drop so they will be playing for their lives. Should be interesting.

Will the addition of a new manager effect Portsmouth in a positive or negative way? For all the rabble round the web sites and radio stations, this sounds like a distraction for the players. I doubt the Pompey players would say it is a distraction.

Most disturbing was Milan Mandaric's comment that the club wasn't getting enough coaching under former manager Harry Redknapp. And yet Harry goes to Saints and starts turning things around.

I would think Pompey are looking ahead to their match against Southampton on April 24. And that match could be very important with Saints only four points behind Portsmouth at this point. We will see how close they are by then.

Let's hope the Addicks can take advantage of the distractions at Fratton Park and steal all the points.

I'm changing my lineup because I think we need Kishishev in the middle as the defensive mid. We need that fighter and ball winner. Mr. Holland needs a rest and some time watching what he should be doing as Kish is the example.

Kiely
Young - Perry - Fortune - HH
Murphy - Kishishev - Konchesky - Thomas
Bartlett - Jeffers

Subs: Andersen, Sam, Holland, Lisbie, Euell.

If Danny doesn't get off well [starts giving the ball away too much], then I think you bring on Sam to provide some spark. If Bartlett tires, then Lisbie.

It seems clear that Konchesky and Thomas both need to be on the left hand side. They are most effective over there. So, Paul goes to holding in the middle with Jerome out wide.

If we win, we could move as far up as 6th place.

If we lose, the worst we could be is 9th.

on the bright side at least they scored 2 and equalized in the first half.

wouldn't it be a dream to see yakubu wearing an addicks shirt next season? if m'boro is showing interest and has a shot to get him, why not charlton?

I have to say that our season is over. I've got nothing to be optimistic about. I think you put us in the bottom half of the table with Newcastle finally going by us. I expect the next two matches against Villa and Norwich to put the nail in the coffin.

There is no passion amongst this group of players. They don't know how to start a match with their hair on fire. Albion, City and Pompey all came out guns a blazen and we paid for it.
