Even though im a proud canadian i gotta say how disgusting a soccer team we have. I hope within the next few years we can possibly get some teams in the mls or even develop a few superstars. The only two known so far in my opinion is retired keeper craig forest and defender paul stalteri which arent even top players. When will Canada play this great game seriously?

Here's some answers to your great question. 1) A Toronto franchise is all but sure for 2007,maybe 2008 that will help develop better Canadian players then we have at the moment. We need a real manager for the national team, not Frank Yallop, Dale Mitchell currently the U-20 boss would make a great manager and the sooner the better, after the tournamnet in Holland that is. We have to get rid of the players who look after their on agendas, Radz,Pesch,etc. And bring in the U-20 players to take their spot. When will Canada play this great game seriously? Write the CSA at their website, let us know what they say. :cool:

watching youth soccer players in Canada and even possibly considering myself as an older one...i see a lot of style bweing modeled afte italian and brazilian styles of play...if these people decide to pursue soccer then we may have a good team!

Lets hope so.....all these youth players need a place to play within Canada
at the professional level.

I have also seen players but they come and go because there is no way one can make a living playing "pro soccer" in Canada. Players playing in the A-League still work part-time, from what I hear.
