Did anyone else see him at the game??

I yelled to him as we were leaving. I yelled "Drew Carey we love you man! #1 fan!"

He was on the field with a camera and another guy next to the goal that was below the Scoreboard with the TV screen.

It was so awesome he said something and gave me the thumb up. He's cool.

A jersey chaser is someone who doesn't play but is always with the players...usually used when talking about girls that just want to sleep with a player..soccer slut, jersey chaser=interchangable really. Its a term we always used when we played to describe people who just wanted to hang with the players.

I say it in jest mostly when talking about our man Drew..its humor he would appreciate it. ;)

I thought that was him when I took a closer look at the tape. Was he wearing a Dark Blue US Jersey during the 1992-1993 years. With the shield in the middle of the jersey and the stripes going across the middle of the jersey? he had some retro USA scarf waiving it up and down in the Sam's Army section behind the goal. That's when Johnson scored the goal, they showed that section.

So. Who cares about Mister Carey? Do you honestly believe giving Drew a press pass is justified? Smells like teen spirit to me. Just because someone found religion in Korea does not make them the end all be all witness of USA soccer. If this were a thread about Ted Koppel, well then, that would be of a different order.

I think a lot of people care about Drew Carey being a soccer fan. He is a high profile guy and he talks up the sport quite a bit. I welcome any celebrity giving the sport a boost. Wouldn't you?

The hockey equivalent of this term is "puck slut"

Mister Sundevil9, thanks for the clarification.
