Overall it looks like Universitario and Cienciano players have replaced kaka and cristal players in the national team... and that is a reflection of the standings in the league. :D
Also autuori coached cristal and kaka... and Ternero did so with Universtiario and Cienciano.. so it all makes sense. :)

Soto Is God And Probably The Best "4" Peru Ever Had!!

Man you are 18 so you grew up watching Soto and he did the job, but I'm sure that a lot of us who had the chance to see great defenfers like Jorge Olaechea, Toribio Diaz -CB I know-, etc. (I have to go now but I can name more later) disagree with you on this BEST EVER thing.

Judging by the responses I would say that people are taking this La U is first thing way to seriously. First of all, they have been lucky and second of all it's not over yet! I don't think la U is the best team out there at all, Cienciano is better, Alianza is better, Cristal is better, heck even Alianza Atletico is better. I'm talking in terms of the names, but la U has been playing better for now.

Secondly, Peryutu, the callup has very little differences from the Autori one, almost none. Ibanez is from Cienciano and he didn't get a callup so that is kind of weird if I used your logic although Bazalar and La Rosa did.

Ternero called from the local clubs:

3 players from la U
2 from Alianza
2 from Cienciano
1 from Cristal
1 from Melgar
1 from Boys
1 from San Martin

So I don't think it's all U players here at all. If anything Prado should have been called up or Rodriguez (I guess he's injured) who are both better than the horse Guadalupe.

Finally, most of the players playing in foreign leagues have either come from Cristal (4 players), Alianza (3 players), Cienciano (2 players) and only one from la U!.

So if we add all of these up we would have:
5 Cristal players, 5 Alianza players, 4 Cienciano players, and 4 la U players.

With Ismodes and Vasallo also being from SC canteras, you could say we would have actually 7 players there!

This is just a quick analysis to show you the NT is STILL mostly Cristal and Alianza players (present or ex), which have been the best players in the last decades for Peru!!!!

Mendoza (U) replaced Soto (SC)
Guadalupe (U) replaced Salas (AL)
Chiquito (U) replaced Ibanez (C) and Butron (AL)
Bazalar (C) replaced Zegarra (SC)
LaRosa (C) replaced Ciurlizza (AL) :D

.. this is all i'm saying man.

I dont give a schitt if most players are from La "POO". I'll have much to say if they are a waste.

no real surprises in the list

we all knew one of the fowards that went to the kirin cup was going to be called

and we all knew ternero would bring his cienciano defensive mids to the team

if ciurlizza was fit i doubt mendoza would have been called

Ismodes is a bit of a surprise but i dounbt hell get game time

the biggest shock is the exclusion of ibanez

i hope leao butron gets the starting job(highly unlikeley i know) hes deserved it over the past 2 years

and its kinda weird hilden salas got picked ahead of chiroque when chiroque played better in the kirin

also i dont think julio garcia deserved the call up

Nah, Julio has been getting some minutes in Morelia. I saw the last game they played for the semi-final of the of the Taco league, his team seemed totally lost until the 35th minute when he came in. Man did he change that game, what position does he play anyway? He was creating so many goal chances and giving such good passes. He almost scored a goal himself! He was superb in that even though his team got kicked out.

The newspapers are reporting he wants out of Morelia but wants to stay abroad.

He is PERFECT for the Brazilian league, I hope he goes there. If not, the Argie league. Last resort, he can go back to Peru.

I hope he goes to a bigger mexican team or an argentinian team. Brazilian league sux, I fall asleep everytime I watch one of their games and the only players to come out of the brazilian leagues to better leagues are the brazilians themselves. Last resort he should go back to Peru or the MLS. Although I doubt Ternero would call him if he goes to MLS.

i just dont think hes p[layed enough minutes to warrant a spot in the 22, we wont need him especially with the way cominges and chorri are playing

Cominges is being used as a forward in Colon, not as a creative #10. Giovanny Hernandez is already playing in that position. Chorri might be doing well in Ecuador but he is old and inconsistent. So I can see why Ternero called up Garcia.

MLS??? no way dude he has too much talent for that league, anyway he is slow for a MLS paced game

I'm saying he would not fit in that league, plus he can do MUCH BETTER than that
