Basically a reporter asked Owen if he could score 5 goals in a game, because that was the record for England. Owen said he didn't know that was the record, and he said that he has never scored 5 goals in a game. He said he scored 4 a couple times. I guess the Azerbaijan coach miss interepreted it and thought he was saying that he was going to score 5 goals against his team, and started calling Owen a midget. :)

Even though Owen played like complete shite! he didn't deserve that kind of bashing from the Azer coach. I remember reading he used words like "who is this guy?" refering to Owen as a midget and that he should clean Becks' boots. Yep, Bit of a sh!t apology. So why wont UEFA or FIFA step in and take action against him?? I guess you can’t criticise refs and other officials but everyone else is fair game. Good old FIFA and UEFA!!!

I don't know what you mean by 'burrito eating' but if that means he looks like and has the attitude of a 'malandro carioca' that doesn't miss a bar brawl and beats his wife at home, I guess you're right. :)

And yes, he's now a loser as coach. I've lost count of how many Brazilian clubs he almost led to relegation in the last years. I don't know why he insists on this career.

I can just imagine Carlos Alberto telling his players about Owen before the game. He probably got three men to mark him throughout the match, out of anger. That's probably what lost them the game.....well that and the fact that we were playing a squad of Phil Nevilles.

Bottom line, though - you can't talk like this about officials or managers or players, if you're English. The other way around, however, the good ol' governing bodies could nee give a toss. W-w-w-w-w@nkers.
