He asks if we should expand the scope of this forum to include general business discussion.
What does everyone think?
I have my opinions, but I'll share them later.

sounds good because if not here then where do they belong.
The business and media thread seems to be mostly for soccer related discusion.

It'd be nice if we could have a "business" subforum, and keep this main one for personal finance. But if that's not feasible, having business here would be alright.

One more plug for the general-business dimension, then I'll hush -- honest. :)
There are a surprising number of small business owners, entrepreneurs and sole-practicioners of one form or another that post on BS. A place to compare notes (such as the recent thread on QA certs) would be quite valuable for all of us. And I think that the business-owners input will help keep discussions grounded in practicality, which, I believe, is the goal of this board.

If we limit it to small business ownership and discussions, I think that is fine.
I would hate to see us have threads about Enron and Martha Stewart that could turn political.
I personally would love to read from and about small business owners as I know very little about that topic.

Man.............we Mexies are into entrepeneurship.... I mean.[way off topic]No kidding... a wee upgrade to the credit infrastructure, get some of your less-wealthy entrepreneurs to trust the banking system ('specially in the south), and you'll have a powerhouse down there. Give it 5-10 yrs... That's why I'm taking Spanish lessons and staying in SoCal ;)[/way off topic]
