Hey! I'm new to New Jersey and I saw that England is playing Columbia at Giants Stadium. I'm a HUGE supporter of England. But when I tried calling for tickets, the message said I had to be a "Metrostars customer." Does anyone have any idea what that means? What is a Metrostars customer? All I want to do is buy tickets to see the England game.

I think a Metrostars customer would probably be a customer of the NY/NJ Metrostars.

Tickets are currently on pre-sale for Metrostars supporters.
They go on sale April 4th to General public.

Are you selecting 'Lower Tier' and then England or Columbia side? I'm looking at two tickets in S. 113 Row 26 right now (April 6, 2.47pm).
That's pretty damn good (although not as good as mine that are right near the halfway line ;)).

[Edit to add] Check the seating charts. I just saw your post on the Metros board. If those are your definition of 'bad' seats, I can only assume you're used to sitting in the dugout.

If this was a competitive match, you'd be probably right - although columbia are alot better then N.Ireland and Azerbaijan

This is only a freindly though so we'll probably get beat unless we actually TRY for once ;)

Incidentally, those were the first three words I learn in english. Do you think the Nevada Smith's folks will get a charter bus?

Dunno, haven't been there yet, but if My team (Everton) get to Europe next year, I will check it out.
We're just gonna squash us 5 English Hooligans into a little car and off we go.
Good luck with a ride, though.

Does Nevada Smith's have charter buses to regular season MetroStars games? I go to school in the city and that would be awesome if they did.

I can't believe this game will be any good. I mean, Columbia will get slaughtered, even though they have home field advantage. They suck against the rest of the Ivy League, what makes anyone think they could handle one of the best national teams in the world.

Oh, did you mean Colombia?

Anybody putting one of these together?

WCX (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=185985) is putting together a trip from DC to Chicago to see the US-Engerland game.

England will carry:
Goalkeepers: David James, Paul Robinson, Green
Defenders: Gary Neville, Ashley Cole, Sol Campbell, Jamie Carragher, Ledley King, Wes Brown
Midfield: Kieron Dyer, Shawn Wright Philips, Steve Gerrard, Hargreaves, Jermaine Jenas, Stewart Downing
Forwards: Jermaine Defoe, Alan Smith, Andy Johnson

The following are doubtful:

Chelsea: Johnson, Terry, Lampard, Cole due to Champions League Final
Man Utd: Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney due to FA Cup Final and Ferguson's demands to rest his key players
Real Madrid: Michael Owen and David Beckham due to Madrid's late run to finish top in La Liga.

Whoever they bring, I expect the USA to hammer a tired England in the hot sun, but then England to beat Colombia in an easy match.
