Does anyone want to get together on saturday to watch the opener from LA. I'm checking to see if either the Globe or Ginger's Ale House will be showing the game.

It looks like they are both showing the Arsenal game at the same time. I might go to the Globe and see if I can get the game on one of the tvs. Later in the day it's going to be the offical watch location for the Fire opener in Dallas.

I see you are heading elsewhere, but Ginger's always is a good place.

With a little boy and another child on the way thought, the wife and I do not get out much for soccer anymore. We are going to the game against England, and have 21 people (some of whom are UNited fans) coming in, so if you want to join our tailgate, let me know.

It's good to see that American soccer has come this far...soccer fans glory hunting with MLS clubs!(read: sarcasm)

It's still pretty lame though.

It looks like the best place to watch the game this saturday against the Fire is at the Globe. It's not on the Direct Kick and not on Fox Soccer Channel. It's also the offical watch location for the Fire. I'll be there wearing a DC United home jersey.

And watcher I moved to Chicago from the DC area in '98 after having season tickets for the first two season. I know that Anthony moved to Chicago I think two years ago also from the DC area. Except for the new white kit this year, I own every DC jersey. I've been two 3 of the 5 finals they have been in and both of the Open Cup finals. Also, the last two seasons I've had a DC United flex ticket pakcage, in addition to my full season tickets for the Fire. That can hardly be called band wagon jumping. :p
