Has the men's national side had it's day with going to the World Cup in Mexico, the Gold Cup Championship in 2000 and the third place finish in
2002? With the quick exit in the Concacaf qualifyer's last fall, has this time reached the bottom of the football world as we know it? We are now looking
at South Africa 2010 for the next world cup attempt in 5 years and even that
might be a stretch.2014.2018,2022 might be when Canada can start really think about playing on the big field with the big boys again. :(

I'm not voting because, besides disregarding history, you're asking many questions at once without the possibility of us voting to answer them. And this is just another post to further your agenda. Try to post something simple, clear and as non-biased as you can. Or don't, because I suspect you are unable to.

Well I have to admit, Duncan is it, that you are getting smarter about your baiting/trolling. Much less meanspirited than usual but designed to get the same result.
CdnBhoy67 or can I call you Canadianbeast , Mexico1986, soccerbeast, beast2005, truenorthsoccer, savagebeast, FC Beast, we know you crave attention. We know you enjoy manipulating and controlling people's emotions. I just ask you, isn't it time you got off the computer and came out of the basement.
What you're doing isn't good for the state of your mental health. Are you depressed? Get out and meet some people in real life. It will help you, I'm getting concerned about you.

The fact is that at the U21 international level, Canada is on par with the very best. Why this success is not re-established at the senior level still remains a mistery.
I couldn't give a clear theory myself because I don't know all the facts.

After our usual early elimination form wcq the CSA and the manager had a chance to bring up younger players from the past u-20 squad and get them
some playing time with the national side against Northern Ireland and
Portugal, yet we seem to settle for the same old faces. It's time to get the future players playing,we have 4 years before the next round of wcq starts,
so lets get organized. After this upcoming U-20 tournament in Holland,
how many of the youth team will get a shot at the full national side? Only
Frank can answer that.

Can;t you answer more then one question at a time? Or do the questions
need to be simple for you to understand them. The point was has Canada
gone as far as it can in football? nothing to hard about that. The vote was
simple enough, just select when you think Canada will quailfy again. Again
not to hard to understand. I am not biased, im pro Canadian soccer. :)

Frank Yallop has only one important victory since he took over the win in
Canada last wcq match in Guatemala. Guatemala already had their place
in the final round booked, so the match didn't mean anything to them, for us a result that can't be taken to serious considering that. Franks tactics also have to be questioned. We can't out play any country at football, except Belize, we must be a stong defence minded team, and that we were not in wcq. If the CSA don't wake up soon our world cup future will be bleak then now.

Would be nice, but 2018 might be better. The CSA has a nig mess to clean up with the current program, starting with finding a good manager, getting the team to play more home games per season, away matches as well, then we might have a little hope for 2014.

you yourself need to get a life. You spend more time on here then,
myself. I don't crave attention, i 'd rather avoid it if possible, i just,
like to wake up people like up who think Canadian soccer has some,
positives to it when it really hasn't. What i say about the Canadian,
program i believe in 100% and refuse to change my opinions just,
to please you or Daniel from Montreal or the voyaguers pc crowd.

My opinion is that Canada will not get better until they get a league of their own or a team or two at least into MLS that utilizes mostly Canadian players. Not that the Canadians in Europe are not good, but Canada needs to continue to produce players domestically like the US has with MLS. As one US generation fades out, another has already stepped up.

We've been waiting since 1986, how much longer must we wait? 2
leagues have come and gone and no sign of returing soon. The canadian,
players in europe are mostly with lower division sides in the UK.

Joe you talk a lot a rubbish don't you. You don't know me,
yet you assume i am someone else on this forum or
voyaguers, this my firend is sadly mistaken. I don't
have a negative feeling towards Canadian soccer,
like CdnBhoy,or the Beast. all i agree is he,they have the
right to their opinion, just like you, and you yourself have
written a lot of garbage of these forums so don't judge,
other to harshly either.

Hmmnnn...since JM never mentioned you, but did a tonne of other "beast" identities, one can only assume that this is a guilty conscience speaking.
I was thinking "beast" had multiple personalities, sort of a Canadian Soccer Sybil if you will. But Sybil's personalities were all different so I guess that rules that out.
