MRS: SCHIOVA

WHAT HAPPENS THERE IS A DISCUSSUION WORTH.

The question is dead or not, is'nt solved in Germany too.

In the Land of the freedom, a murder dies faster than she died.

A Murder dies in 10 seconds within, she'll die in 2 weeks.

In Germany we had the same questions.
Or it`'s a murder question?

In dem Land wo jeden Tag getötet wird, kann man doch auch DIE Gitftspritze ansetzen. Das ist schneller als wie verhungern.

PileD means that in a country where murders are done every day (death penalty) it is cruel to give murderers a fast death but make innocent ppl (Schiova) starve to death. He thinks a fast death would be better for here

This rather belongs into 'Politics and current Events'...

There is no evidence that she really said she doesn't want to be kept alive when something like this happens to her. All they have is her husband who claims that it was her will, but this is no evidence. And as long as there is no evidence (and it doesn't look like there ever will be one) nobody has the right to let her die.

Ironically, we couldn't give her an injection because that would be murder. Euthanasia (spelling?) is illegal in this country. Have you guys in Germany heard of Dr. Kevorkian? He's an American doctor who was famously imprisoned for helping terminally ill patients take their own lives.

For reasons I don't understand, the removal of the feeding tube doesn't fall into this category. I'm a liberal democrat, and can't for the life of me understand why we can starve someone to death. I wouldn't treat a wounded dog that way.

Anyway, too much politics. I can't wait to play the German team in the 2006 friendly. The US continues to improve, and I'd like to see how we do in a rematch of the World Cup game. We'll call it Landon's revenge.

There are a couple of threads in Political forum--and they are pretty huge ---and pretty heated.

Get your living will's (advanced directive) filled out folks....I think that is the moral of this story. I don't think anybody want's to see the woman starve to death and I would like to think that this will add to the discussion on euthenasia/right to die.

Having said all that. This non-believer wishes all you believers Happy Easter :)
