Predator (pulse&mania) lace burning

Hi guys, for all of those of you who have predators (pulses) I am sure you will all agree that the laces are longer than maybe one would need. Anyway, because the laces are so long, it means i have to tigh the laces around the 4 blades (fg) at the back of the heel, which makes the area before the tongue really tight, which means i can't pull the tongue down very far and its so annoying. So, I was just wanted to know what the best/most appropriate method was of (burning laces, as i know a lot of you do). I have seen that theres problems with this but then som1 said there wasnt and it just confused me so if someone could tell me exactly how to burn their laces (like bekcham does/gerrard) I would be most grateful.

Yeah, I thought I was going to get this, well anyway, if anyone doesn't feel like accusing me of not being bothered to read the other threads (which im sorry, i suppose i should of but i am a newbie here) and would kindly like to help me, then i said id b v grateful

cut the lace to your desiered lenth then burn the end with a cigareet lighter i hold the flame far away from the lace cause you dont really want it to catcha flame you want it to just singe the frayed parts it sort of seals the end when its cooled down with a hard plastic coating

every close up pic of beckham and vieira boots i have seen the laces have been cut and a small knot tied at the end of the lace, thats what i do aswell.

That's a great idea with the knots actually. I always had problems with burning the laces too, but that could have been because mine DID catch fire. I thought they were supposed too. :)

OK so I get my laces, cut them, then burn the laces (the frayed areas) and what about the plastic casing? If i tie a not at the end of each lace, then i wont need the plastic will I? What is the point of the knot at each end of the lace? Thanks for your help guys*

you have lost me now mate sorry. the plastic casing wont be there because you will have cut the laces. the knot is the to stop the laces coming back through the holes.
sorry ive tried hard not to say it but this is another one of these stupid threads lol urrrrrggggggggg. there are too many people on here needing help with everything. some common sence is needed, lets start a thread on how to learn to have some common sence.

You don't need plastic cases. Simply cut the laces to the desired length and burn the tips, they will melt and become hard. You don't need to burn them for very long and they should not catch fire.

I remember a thread from like a year ago where it had a picture of how Beckham had his laces cut and burned. I've searched all over BS and haven't found it. If anyone has this picture please post.
