I'm considering trying to come over to Koeln for the final game of the season against Duisburg in May. Will it be possible for me to get a ticket for the Duisburg end or will they all be sold to the club and to fan clubs ages in advance?

Hmm, Köln is like the FC bAyern of the 2. Bundesliga so every fan wants to go to an away match there but because of the big stadium Duisburg will get a few thousand tickets ( I guess 5000) but I think they'll be gone because it's Köln, the last game and maybe the fans are also doing a great promotion party then.

When Köln played Essen last sunday, more than 46.500 people showed up, it's pretty crazy. I guess that game will be a sell-out.

You should e-mail either Köln or Duisburg, maybe they will do womething for you because you travel from so far away.

Am 22. Mai steigt im RheinEnergieStadion das Saisonfinale zwischen dem FC und dem MSV Duisburg. Die Ticket-Nachfrage zu dieser Partie ist immens. Bisher haben nur FC-Mitglieder, Mitglieder des Fan-Projekts sowie eingetragene Fanclubs die Möglichkeit, sich per Bestellung Karten für das Spitzenspiel zu sichern. Auf Grund der großen Nachfrage wird ein freier Verkauf immer unwahrscheinlicher. FC-Fans müssen davon ausgehen, dass es keinen freien Verkauf für das Duisburg-Spiel geben wird. Sollten nach Berücksichtigung aller Mitglieder-Bestellungen noch Karten verfügbar sein, werden diese ab dem 13. April in den Verkauf gehen."

Yep, Koln are averaging about 32,000. So they are ranked about 11th overall. Only BVB, Schalke, Bayern, Gladbach, Hertha, HSV, VfB Stuttgart, Werder Bremen, 'Lautern and Hannover 96 get more. Really good crowds for BL2. Can't wait for the return of the Gladbach v Koln games!

I wanted to inlcude Braunschweig (I must admit deep deep inside I have a soft spot for them ;) ) but I don't know where to find the average attendances for Regionalliga.

I'd like to know how many fans Osnabrück, St. Pauli and Offenbach average?

I know the Serie C team is Napoli Soccer, which Serie B team averages more than 20.000? Genoa? Torino?

Well, i included Osna and Pauli as well. Offenbach should be 35th or 36th, but i was too lazy to look for the RL Süd stats too (the RL Nord numbers i got from Eintracht.com).

Oh well, it does sound like Mission Impossible. I post on the MSV fan site sometimes but my German's not good enough to make a request (plus when the MSV fans came to watch Greenock Morton I arrived too late to meet them :)). But I'll give it a shot and keep you posted with what happens :D

Osnabruck averaging about 7,850. OFC about 6,250 and St. Pauli 15,899.
Genoa average about 20,000 in Serie B, Torino about 10,000.
