This question is for my Non Non-London Posters.
Do you ever plan on taking the trip to Highbury? If so when?
I might go this year if I have some free time, one of my friends moved to london last year so at least I have a way to get around the city. Its gonna be great. :D

There are a few people who go every year as part of the Arsenal America "road-trip" if not there are many who come independantly year after year. It's great fun and at the end of the day you've only got one season left to experience Highbury......

I went the year before last with the Arsenal America group. A great trip. Not sure if I'll make it back for another visit to Highbury or if my next visit will be to Ashburton Grove.

What do you mean? does your friend work for the underground? London's pretty easy to navigate even if you don't know anyone. But it does help having a place to stay. Tickets are so cheap from NYC i don't know why people don't go more often. As long as you don't eat, drink, or buy anything while your in London, its fairly affordable.

I went about sixteen months ago on the ArseAm trip and had a blast. I'd love to go again, but time and money are not on my side, as it would cost me about $2,000 to fly there from where I am now. :(
And I do indeed know the pain of the weak dollar. Because of it, Citibank's charging me an extra 3% on overseas purchases! On the plus side, I'll be able to bring a ton of Taiwan money back next time and make a lot on the exchange rate!

Just got back from London last week! It was great fun and got to go to 3 Arsenal games: League against Pompey, CL against Bayern, and FA Cup against Bolton. Of course all this was made possible thanks to Rick. Hopefully I'll be able to go again but we'll see what happens. Also, try to go in August when the league starts up or in May when the league is about to end. As colder as it may be in New York, sitting in rain/snow isn't fun. Of course a Thierry hat-trick made up for it so....
And yes, it is expensive. Luckily I knew someone and had a place to stay all 10 days, saving me a friggin bundle.

I made my pilgrimage back in January and got to go to see Bolton away thanks to Rick. I've been to Highbury about 5 or 6 times when I lived in London. I'm hoping to go back next year and my dad seems interested now that he gets up early and watches the game with me...unfortunately his favorite player might not be there next year (Reyes).

Oh yes, I want to make a holy journey across The Pond. I am going to try very hard to make this year's coming trip with Arsenal America.
My wife is due in September and it pains me to say it, but I might have to wait until The Grove to see my beloved Gunners play in the flesh. The longer I'm a Gooner, the sweeter the trip will be for me when I eventually am able to fly over for a match.

I went over the christmas holidays and had a great time. Rick secured me tickets for v. Fulham and saw SuperBob and Thierry score. I'm in college so I stayed in a hostel and saved some money there. I was prepared, but London was still very expensive.

If you're thinking of going to catch a game, I would strongly encourage you to go before the move to Emirates. I've been by myself in the 90's, with ArsenalAmerica, and thanks to Rick and it was a great experience each time. Highbury is such a fantastic place before the match and if you've only seen it on TV, the first time you step foot in the grounds is almost surreal. And the tour is also something that I greatly enjoyed and would look forward to again.
