Two months ago I'd have agreed about Kieron Dyer but having seen him play recently he's really improved. Souness seems to have made him knuckle down, He's a worthy inclusion this time IMO.

Dyer has been in excellent form of late and with SWP's injury he was always going to be in the squad, we will see what happens when SWP comes back.
As for Heskey, he has been playing well of late and is a favourite of Eriksson. Is Alan Smith injured though? As I am surprised that he has managed to nudge him out.

Smith was a sub yesterday and played. As far as I know he was not hurt. Hesky has always been a SGE favorite no? Maybe he was looking for an excuse to bring him back.

The opponents arent strong but sven has ********ed up big style with these selections.
Heskey should only be considered if he had shown amazing form for birmingham.
But he has hardly done anything for them really.
I wont be suprised if the big lumbering clown comes on as a sub at some point.
as for neville!!! what the ********??
i think we can see what type of selections sven will make for the yank tour.

He's sticking by his old guns.
I guess that means we'll still be pumping the ball up the field at each and every opportunity. We'll see more back passes to the keeper than passes forward, well see absolutely no wing play and if we do manage to go 1-0, it'll be time to take off a forward and bring on a defender.
Good job we don't have to play a decent team.

I cannot believe Heskey got a recall. He is nowhere near international class.
While he's on a roll, maybe sven will give Ricketts and Phillips another shot
P.S. Honestly, I think Peter Crouch deserves a call-up more than heskey

Statisically, he is supposed to be England's worst ever striker.
I would LOVE to see/hear/read how Sven justifies recalling Heskey.

My heart sinks at this news. Makes me want to follow WHU's lead and look to another nation: Ireland or Germany? Great choice :(

Oh well. He won't start anyway and Defoe is more likely to come on before Heskey is anyway.

Don't be so sure. If we're winning and under pressure, Sven will bring on Heskey to try an enforce his defensive, long ball shite!
