I live in the US and will be visiting London for about a week in May. Arsenal has a mid-week match against Everton on 11 May. Per the Arsenal website the match is sold out.
Any advice on obtaining 2 tickets to the match (other than just arriving at Highbury and buying them off touts)???

Do I need to suggest having a look to see if Chelsea are playing that week..........? Considering it's the game re-arranged from the F.A. Cup and is being played on the 10th May against Man u, personally if I was a Chelsea fan and buying off a tout, thats the game I'd go for............

Don't need to suggest that. I obviously checked the Chelsea fixture list first. They play ManU away on 10 May.

As I said in the post above......therefore why don't you go there if you are prepared to pay a tout, you may as well go to a match with your club playing!!! Manchester is only 2 hours on the train!!!

You're flying from CA to London which is almost a 9 hour flight and have chelsea listed as your fav team....you can't be serious about wanting to see Arsenal over chelsea just because you'd have to take a 2-hour train ride.

basically, he was probably on the Arsenal bandwagon last year and now that Chelsea looks set to win the Prem he has left for greener pastures. Since Chelsea will not be in London when he is in London he is returning to past glories to try to score some tickets

I am travelling with the wife who does NOT want to go to Manchester for the day. I don't know anyone else in the UK and don't really care to ditch my wife while we are on holiday to go to a match by myself.
As for those of you who think I am a banwagonner that's complete rubbish. I am a Chelsea supporter, but overall I'm also a football fan. I love to see football matches and love to visit new venues. I have been to Stamford Bridge in the past but have never been to Highbury. Even though I don't particularly care for Arsenal, Highbury has a reputation of being a good place to see a match. I figured given my situation this would be a good opportunity to see a match. I have been following Chelsea since my first visit to London in 1999 and will remain loyal to them, but I don't think that going to an Arsenal match as a neutral should be seen as a betrayal or jumping ship.
If anyone has any constructive responses to my ticket question then I would appreciate any response. If y'all are merely here to make fun and ridicule me then I am sorry for ever asking for your help.

if you go to the match make sure you root for the home team!!!
as for tickets, if you do not want to go throught he touts you need to pay $3.65 to join Arsenal America at www.arsenalamerica.com and then see if there are any available from the ticketing source for the supporters club
