Which is more likely?

DCU beating Pumas or the US beating Mexico? Now I don't mean which will happen as you may think neither may happen. But even then which is more likely even if you give it a 5% chance?

Been a bunch of games since then Sid and you and I know how many times Mexico's won. Azteca no question makes that streak less likely to continue but the fact that Arena beats Mexico like a drum these days says something.

I didn't say that the US is going to win either, just that I think it's more likely that the team that keeps beating a certain opponent head to head is more likely to get a result than a team that's in preseason mode and doesn't have a track record at all in their contest.

You can of course disagree with this assessment, but remember I'm not asking you which american entity will win.

I am asking: which is more likely to happen?

Very tough indeed.... Specially for a DCU and US fan.... but all things considered, I think DCU over Pumas in two games is likely to happen... As a fan you hope both happen... as a realist... both probably won't happen.

From what I've heard Pumas didn't play too well in the first round, so I voted for DC. While the odds are against either happening, from the way its being talked about in the thread you'd think it would be the greatest upset in soccer history.

The question is perfectly fine. It doesn't assume that either is likely, just which is has a better chance of happening. Even if one has a 1% chance and the other has a 2% chance, then it's still a question with an answer.

As for the question, I went with the national team. Even though Pumas will take their match-up with DCU much less seriously than the Green Rats (will Hugo even bother to show up?), United aren't as match fit as the majority of Bruce's boys will be.
