For those of you afraid to venture of to YA-world, here is a little summary of what some of our Euro-based nats are up to in the week leading up to two important qualifiers.

Reyna had a superb match for ManCity today and rated a 9 by SkySports. A blurb from SkySports (http://skysports.planetfootball.com/Article.asp?id=263916)...

Then just before the interval City grabbed a deserved equaliser and it was a great footballing goal. Onuoha attacked down the flank and found Barton, he fed the ball to Fowler whose exquisite first time chipped pass bounced into the path of Reyna who lashed the ball past Robinson off the post.

City carried on from where they left off and were the better team, with Reyna again looking influential and he went close again with a 30-yard drive which was charged down.

Howard & Bocanegra battled at Old Trafford today and Howard got the upper-hand. Both rated 7s from SkySports. McBride was MIA. A blurb from SkySports (http://skysports.planetfootball.com/Article.asp?id=263914)...

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed the only goal of the game in the 21st minute with a strike good enough to win any match but the hosts were indebted to Tim Howard for preserving the lead with a couple of crucial saves late on.

The Red Devils survived an almighty scare when Lee Clark hit a post and Carlos Bocanegra latched onto the rebound. The American must have thought he had scored but Howard pulled off a wonderful save. The ball broke back to Bocanegra and his effort was deflected away from the target by team-mate Steed Malbranque.

Landon Donovan did not play for the second week in a row after a dismal showing in the CL against Liverpool.

Beasley came on 20 minutes from time two days ago for PSV. PSV play Ajax tomorrow. A blurb from www.psv.nl (http://english.psv.nl/show?id=21372&contentid=8577)...

Vennegoor of Hesselink was taken off by Hiddink twenty minutes from final time and replaced by DaMarcus Beasley. It was a familiar substitution: Farfán was now played up front and Beasley was deployed on the right flank.

Cherundolo played for Hannover today against Gladbach's Kasey Keller. Hannover came out on top 2-1. I believe both played 90.

Eddie Lewis played 64 minutes today for Preston but spent 10 minutes out of the match after taking a knock on the head, which required stitches. We'll need to keep an eye on this situation as I'm sure Eddie is in Bruce's plans for the week.

Aside from the Lewis knock, we seem to be as good as could possibly be expected heading into next week's qualifiers.
