I am asking for any info that you can share with me about my the new adquisiton of the USL club that I support, the Puerto Rico Islanders. He is an Slovak named Josef Miso. He played with Alajuela and Brujas FC in Costa Rica.

From the research that I have been doing, he is a great player but he has had problems with his temper in the past. That is reportedly the reason that he left Alajuelense and it may be the reason he left Brujas.

Can any of you Ticos or anyone else give me more info?

C'mon, Morado and the other usual suspects that reprezent Ticolandia so well. Please help me out. What's the deal? He looks like a great pickup for a minor league team that lacked firepower last year. But what sort of baggage does he bring? Seems like the guy should be in MLS or Mexico's Primera. He's only 31. Is he more headache than he's worth? Does he have a bad temper? What are his strengths? What are his weaknesses?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

So there he is....
Josef Miso was great, one of the best forwards in the late 90's, he won the the top-scorer award in 99, 3 time best-international player in the CR'n league, 6 championships with Alajuela, he has a powerful right foot, excellent in 30m free kicks, penalty kicker, he speaks good spanish also
He could have been called to join the slovakian team, but they never did.
He had a bad injury like 3-4 seasons ago, he never came back to his soccer level, then he moved to minor teams like santos, Brujas and carmelita but he did without success.
I wish him good luck, he is a qulaity player and a honest gentleman

Morado. That's why you are THE man. The HTIC (head Tico in charge).
Thanks for the scoop. Now I understand better why he is playing in with the Islanders.

Hopefully he will be very successful with my club.

I wish him good luck, i always wanted Miso in Saprissa..... He really loved to score against us....I hope the islander crowd supports Miso, he really needs some emotional support... Good luck...
Do you have any link to the puertorican league or the islander club?
