Similar to how Celtics home games are televised this season in HD, Comcast and FSN NE could continue their partnership and broadcast the Revs home matches in HD. I think this would be a terrific idea and maybe a way to increase ratings. They could put it on one of the INHD channels. HD is the ideal way to broadcast soccer, especially in the 16x9 aspect ratio. So not only do you get a beautiful picture, but you also get that wide viewing angle that gives you a better appreciation of how the game is played.

couldn't this also be achieved by simply zooming the camera out a bit?

Not when I tuned in it wasn't. The broadcast is shown on the HD channel, however, the picture was not in high definition. My guess is that they are not shooting in HD, therefore, no HD broadcast.

Well seeing how great HD truely is, I think that if the Revs can get either WB or FSN to start broadcasting their games in HD (at least the home matches), then we might possibly see a spike in TV ratings.

Awesome. I don't have HD, but my dad does!
