Hey I own a pair of Gold Vapors and on the front of the boot it is red, I bought them when they first came out. Has any one had this problem or are my boots just fading or wearing out?

Any answers would be deeply appreciated.

I know exactly what u are talking about man! It is like a orangish red on mine, and I was wondering what the heck it was. It isn't really that visible.

Neh, he certainly doesn't :). I think it could be because of the ball contacts, actually when you kick with your laces, the top of the toe area is also slightly affected by sand on the ball. Secondly it could be just sand, mud and hard grass directly from the ground.

I had the same problem and the problem is that when you get a scratch or you get studded on your foot, the boot often turns a different colour. For example, with the vapors it is red, and with my white and red Vapor II's it is also red.

The good thing about it is that this stain can be removed. If you put a little white spirit onto a rag and give it a little elbow grease the discolouring comes away with no damage done to the boot. Just in case you wanted to know, you can also use the same technique on the plastic heel to remove scratches and give them a 'like new' look.

Hope this helps :D
