Can't come at a better time than the 20th Anniversary of that very day. Juventus is not the easiest of opponents but we should brace for the challenge anyway.

First leg on April 5 at Anfield with the second leg on April 13 at Delle Alpi. We miss out on the second leg home advantage.

Discuss.

Discuss. Not much to discuss. Gorra win or we're out. Simple as that!

We definitly need to win...for a bunch of reasons. The main one being that if we win and Chelsea can win, then we meet them in the semi-final. It would be some wonderful justice to knock them out!

But first things first....lets get past Juve....or better still lets get past Everton!

ya dunna want to know my thoughts. Torino in mid-April. the olive trees spreading their boughs.

juventus has 3 world class forwards, a fabulous net minder, and a quality defense. with Nedved, their midfield is dangerous. after Pavel, it drops off in quality a bit, but that certainly is true of Liverpool, as well. after Gerrard, who?

i would hope for a penalty shootout in the final leg after 1-1 aggregate.

I think Ibrahimovic and Trezeguet are going to be a handful for our defenders. Considering how we struggle to deal with Peter Crouch of Southampton I fear the worst to what Ibrahimovic can do. Obviously the second leg is going to be a very tight affair so we are going to have to try and keep a clean sheet in the first leg.

Looking forward to this much more than the Milan tie to be honest.

20 years have past, and so I hope during the elapsed time that most (or hopefully all) animocity has been layed to rest making way for a classic tie between 2 of the most famous clubs in football history.

Cheers guys.

I just realized this is being played at the exact same time as the Giants opening day game...a game I, of course, bought tickets to.

i usually like most italian teams... but juve this year has gotten on my bad side... especially after beating real...

their game has not been that good for the second part of the season... i think they are definitely beatable... how about another 3 goal run by the lads? now that would be quality! :D

i also think there will be trouble in turin... if thats how its going to be i hope no one dies like last time... but it wouldnt hurt if our boys losen their teeth up a little... just a tat :D

That's the last thing anyone wants. Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail.

We're definetely going to have our hands full with this matchup. Hopefully we'll shut them out on the home leg and win with 1 or 2 goals, giving us confidence going into the away leg.

Even if we can just keep it 0-0 at Anfield, we will have a good chance to go through. An away goal would kill us. If we can grab a goal in the away leg, we can steal a place in semi final.

I posted in the other thead. I think we'll need 2 at home AND a clean sheet. They don't let many goals in at home and put 3 in against Porto there.

Yeh, 2 at home for us and 1 away.......

Watching Juventus play against Reggina (mid table squad) I have to say that Juve are extremely tough to breakdown. Their defense is very well organized and their RB and LB move up and down the pitch with ease. They are a very patient side who is comfortable playing possession football. While the atmosphere in today's game at the Delle Alpi was rather subdued I expect their crowd to be up for our match.
