Man - I tried to Tivo this game for a friend of mine who is from Barranquilla and I guess because the previous game went long my Tivo cut out at the 90th minute right after the PK call - sounds like I missed all the excitement in stoppage. I feel bad I can't give him the whole game although at least I saved him a lot of pain....

What a shame... Junior deserved better. River, coming out of it with a tie wouldve been considered luck, but to win 2-0 against the team thats sure to make it all the way its just amazing. ********ing ref too...
Anyways Junior and River are obviously the top two favorites to go through the group. I don't know why the 'freak' is getting all excited. Junior will definately win both games against olmedo.

and 3 from nacional in barranquilla

nacional MUST tie/win in robamba against olmedo in the next game for junior to feel comfortable again :(

The PK was the correct call - The Defender was pulling down on the back of the Forward's shirt - Most replays didn't show this because of the bad camera angle - The Defender thought he could get away with this because the Ref on the other side of the penalty area - But the Ref could see the shirt-pulling well enough to award a penalty

Hey - There were far worse "Burritos" this week than in that game

the way i see it, is more that the refs like giving river special
gifts, in that first match ref invented a cheap, cheap
penalty in extra time to give them that easy victory.
And yesterday the defender was simply falling down and
happened to fall into the river player, but to call that a
penalty kick was very, very weak ! good acting job on
the part of that river player though...
