Remember before World cup 98, Every Jamaican watched the World Cup from the sixties or even before(i don't remember when we got TVs) and had a favourite team. Mine was and still is Brazil. However in 98 i was proud to "bring" the Reggae Boyz. But i am wondering if they are trying to bring back those days when we start "bringing" our adopted teams. No world cup in 2002, for 2006 mi worried

Jamaica was very unimpressive in the first half of play for most of the 45 minute. Maybe palyed what resemble football for 2 minutes and when they were able to move forward during those 3 or 4 moment produce good chance on goal, on two occasion with crosses from the left and right wings, only to see one/two player in the box mainly near post and non on the back door. We were able to get off maybe 4 shots or so, but they were off target and wayward.
We spent most of the half back peddeling and defending. Clearly Guatemala was weak, as they did not take advantage of our poor team defending. Taylor and #21 + the Lawrence kept the sheet clean.

FIFA has now cleared Jason Euell to play for Jamaica:

A FIFA spokesman told the Press Association: ``A decision has been made today that Jason Euell can play for Jamaica.
``Although he has played at a youth level for England, he can be defined as a Jamaica citizen at that time and he has not played for the senior team.''
According to the article, he can play as soon as tomorrow's game against El Salvador.

Johnson out for Reggae Boyz
5 November 2004
by The Press Association
The Jamaica National team suffered a significant blow ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifer against the United States when it was confirmed that inspiritational midfielder Jermaine Johnson will not be available.
Johnson, who plays for English League One side Oldham Athletic, sustained a knee injury which will keep him out of competition for at least a month.
Johnson and the other UK-based Reggae Boyz were expected to join the rest of the Jamaican team in Jamaica on Sunday, November 14, before travelling to Ohio the following day.
The Reggae Boyz need to beat the United States in their own backyard to qualify for the final round of the World Cup qualifiers.
Note from me: The last sentence is incorrect as Jamaica can also advance with a draw if Panama loses or draws hosting El Salvador.
