Afternoon people. We've just signed Omar Daley on a season long loan. Can anyone provide me with some info on him?
Cheers

Talented midfielder from the Jamaica U-20 team to Argentina in 2001. Very raw player who needs some time to develop his game properly. Possess good speed and a hard shot.

Drawback is that he needs to learn the tactical aspect of the game.

Plays on the right side of midfield

Can somebody (Reggae Boy, help!) post the table for the Jamaican League here? I can't seem to find out anything other than that Harbour View is in 1st. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Manuel. I knew about Hazard's name change, and they're my favorite club because they have (had, I guess) the coolest name. It's (obviously) changed now, but they'll always be the same old Hazard to me.

IT is supposed to be a friendly international, but Jamaica's Reggae Boyz will be in no mood for romping when they face El Salvador in the second game of a double header at the National Stadium this evening.

Kick-off is set for 6:00 pm in the presence of Joseph "Sepp" Blatter, president of the world governing body, FIFA. Blatter was slated to arrive in the island last night to break ground for the National Football Academy and Training Centre in Portmore today, before celebrating with the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), its sixth anniversary of the country's historic qualification to the World Cup Finals which was held in France in 1998.

JAMAICA'S Reggae Boyz cruised past a hapless El Salvador aggregation, 3-0, at the National Stadium last night to bring the curtain down on a historic day for the nation's football.

Goals by English-based trio, Ricardo Fuller (Preston North End), Kevin Lisbie (Charlton Athletic) and Deon Burton (Swindon) reduced the visitors -- who were clearly short of their best side -- to mere spectators.

Jamaica Football Federation will elect a new president this Sunday and the challenger has outlined his plan for Jamaican football.

http://www.reggaeboyzsc.com/docs/new_game_plan.htm

In my opinion if the incumbent wins then Jamaica will be back to the status quo of being highly talented but lacking in technical ability.

If the challenger wins then in 15 years we will see Jamaica ascending to its rightful place at the top of the region and a contendor in the world.

We have the raw skills and athletes to make it happen all we need now is a leader with vision

I guess your guy won Shatta. Hopefully he can turn the Reggae Boyz around.

Crenston Boxhill was elected the new President of the Jamaican Football Federation (JFF) after defeating the Captain Horace Burrell during the elections held on Sunday (23 November) at the Starfish Resort in Montego Bay.
Captain Burrell, who held the leadership of Jamaica’s football for the past nine years, lost to Boxhill on a 54-49 vote count. It was the first time that Burrell, a former army officer, was challenged since he defeated Heron Dale in 1994 for the presidency.

Yes he won and he has breathed new life in the reggaeboyz and given everyone a renewed sense of optimisim.

Unfortunately the incumbent rested on the 98 acheivement and didn't push forward as much as people would have liked.

In essence he was a victim of his own success and now the bar has been raised for the new President so lets see how he does.

He ran on the platform of youth development as for too long we have played second fiddle in the region with what is arguably the most talented set of youngsters but for too long we have been beaten by the likes of the USA whose only advantage is a better program.

Lets see what this guy can do
