I know were not done with Blackburn, but this is ******* Everton. Easily our most important match of the year.

If we lose this game, were toast. There is no way we will lose to Everton TWICE in the same season. Heads are gonna roll if we do.

I think Everton are going to park the bus in front of goal and invite Liverpool to attack. They will employ exactly the same strategy as Blackburn and will look to catch Liverpool on the counter attack.

this is the turning point of the season. If we win we will get a moral booster for the CL games and for the rest of the season. Everton might go into a downward spiral just like arsenal when they lost. Anyway we better win!

One important match WE WIN they loose simple as that.
they should not be allowed to beat us really we have a side which can be succesful.
I think if we go attack and destroy our mission would be halfway completed to get us the cl spot and ofcourse a moral boost that we definitely need, the kick in simpler terms to win win and win.
you must be remembering liverpool olympiakos all matches should be similar it gives you that feeling yes i am a liverpoolfan and proud of it.

OOOOOO!F_CK this!!!come one people, this is the derby!we have to forget about the blackburn result and just enjoy this match! This is an important match, but even if we dont win,i think we have a fairly good chance of reaching the C.L!Everton dont have the quality to go on a winning run at this point of the season!!we will surely catch them up,even if we dont win in the derby!(but it would much, much more tight!)Right now im more worried about newcastle than everton!they are 7 points behind us and with a game in hand!
I even dare say our formation

What no Baros in your side? We need him on the field, he's been one of the hardest workers to score a goal lately. We need to get him and Nando together as much as possible.

1-1 draw
And I would weep if I had the emotional energy.

Predictions are useless with this year's team. We are capable of winning 3-0, and there is a chance we don't even show up and lose 0-2. Anfield will be buzzing for this one, and the players have responded to that this season, so I'm hoping for the best. 3 points is necessary if there is any chance of claiming 4th place.

ofcourse we 're gonna win... simply because we happen to be on the better side of the merseyside river... :D

Umm...there is no such thing as the Merseyside River. The Mersey River, yes. The Merseyside River, no. Also, both teams are on the same side. Otherwise, Everton would be located in Birkenhead. And that would be like calling Bolton-Man U a derby, which it isn't.

I was reading the Soccernet Correspondent, and he pointed out that we haven't scored a goal in 283 minutes, which is over three games. That better change on Sunday.
Come on Liverpool!!!
The Lineup:

Finnan-Hyppia-Carra-Warnock
Garcia-Biscan-Gerrard-Riise
-------Moro-----Baros-----
I don't know if Traore is back, but Warnock looked good against Blackburn, and we could give Traore an extra week of recovery by keeping Warnock in. Garcia didn't look too bad on Wednesday, but he still gave the ball away too easily, that needs to change. I could see a 4-5-1, with Didi and Biscan playing back, with Gerrard in an attacking midfield position, and Moro up front.

Usually humor is more effective when it's factually correct. If the two clubs were on different sides of the Mersey River, it would make sense.
However, if you say something such as, "simply because we happen to be on the better side of Stanley Park :D ." Then I would see the humor in that.

The way we're playing, I worry about everyone until I know which Liverpool team starts playing.
As of now and on form, I'd say Bluenoses are favourites. But this is Anfield and this is a Derby and it's always fun.

Why no Didi ??? Biscan and Gerrard couldnt hold a decent convo let alone a midfield.

I don't think that Didi is essential to our midfield. He's not having a stellar year, and it's really a toss-up between playing him or Biscan. Although I wouldn't be suprised to see a 4-5-1 like the one UNWA suggested.

Sorry but I would have to disagree. In a game like a merseyside derby you need players who have been there and done it an know what its all about and Didi knows better than most. He is having as good a year as I can remember and is still in my opinion a world class player in his position. Stevie Me is not a holding midfielder and of late hasnt even played like half the player he can be. He doesnt warrant a Liverpool shirt on the lacklustre performances hes been throwing in and this match could be his final parting shot. If ever a club needed its captain to stand up and act like a captain (as he did the last 12 or so games of last season) then now is that time.
Didi Carra and Riise are battling for the cause more than Stevie Me.The only time Ive seen him turn up recently was against a depleted Leverkusen side. Kudos.
