I don't know how many of you get G4 television, but it's a 24 hour network about videogames. Anyway they do in depth reviews which is cool because you see what the game looks like when they play it. Far more helpful than IGN or any websites.

They reviewed David Beckham Soccer. They said it was ok, which for th emost part looked like an update of striker pro 2000 which was ok but not spectacular. The free kick system is the best in the market though.

They also reviewed FIFA world cup, they said it was great and everyone should own it.

They reviewed MLS Extratime 2002 and said that hardcore soccer fans will love it but it might be infuriating for casual games.

Interestingly enough, FIFA 2002 World Cup is available on some Verizon cellular phones. It's a dumbed down, simplier version but supposedly has all the rosters.

I wish I could get that channel on my cable system.

Still think the best way to "test drive" games is to have one of those Blockbuster "Freedom Pass" things - $20/month and you can rent as many as 2 games at a time for as long as you want for 30 days.

Will be getting ANOTHER one next week, right when both NBA Live 2003 and NBA 2K3 come out, want to test drive those for a bit along with NFS:HP2 and a few others.

Still, G4 is a very interesting premise, and I wish I could get such a channel. Maybe my cable system can dump one of the 17 different "Discovery Channel" channels they currently have ;)

G4 is pretty good but it seems like they have maybe 8 hours of content that continually gets replayed all day/week.
