Maybe he had just seen that Seinfeld episode where Kramer "converted" George's ex-girlfriend/future fiance's lover.

As for Mourinho, he really needs to start actually reading things through before reacting. His comment about how Frisk leaving the game because of criticism is totally asinine. He's leaving the game because he was getting death threats! Mourinho really needs to be careful, as he's quickly becoming the least popular manager in the sport. Hell, he's making Fergie look like a brilliant, scholarly statesman!

This type of response just shows the true colors of this clown. He actually thinks that Frisk quit because of his comments, how arrogant. My question is how can he take Vokler (sp) to court over his comments. I think that free speech covers Europe too.

I prefer Fergie's insanity better. He'll just call you a twat and move on.

Free speech has nothing to do with this. It only applies to the government. I think Mourinho's foolish for doing this, but then again, UEFA employees shouldn't be going around calling football managers "enemies of football".

Its not so much the fun, just that it stops after awhile. I'm getting over hearing about Mourinho's new madness every day. A week without some over the top statement, accusation, etc. would be nice.

I just love:

"Mr Roth has two ways out, apologise or it goes to court" and

especially

"I feel like a hunted animal and I don't want a life like that. You never know what these people might do."

If anything...this guy is at least entertaining although it appears his condition is getting worse :D

What a confusing article, i was under the impression that the last sentence you quoted was from Frisk, but after rereading it i'm still not sure.

Chelsea's little period of dominance is going to be short-lived, because Mourinho's going to run his mouth off at somebody in the club one of these days and get himself fired.

That won't keep Chelsea from dominating. Any decent manager could win with that squad.

Nor indeed should managers of top EPL teams bring the game into disrepute in quite so bovine a way as your boy Mourinho, specially so when there are deliberate rules against such things in every coaches ethical agreement. But at least you're not quite the chump Andy Bennett is in defending your clown prince.

I feel really awful about Frisk and his family being threatened but wasn't Mourinho simply stating the obvious that he made a bad call and did so many times? He did always seem in the papers one way or another.

Do you mean sending off Drogba? I only saw a replay of it once, but it was clear that Drogba fouled the keeper and it looked like a reasonable yellow card to me. I wonder why Chelsea fans are so upset by that call?

I didnt read into exactly quote for quote what was said but I was told that Mourinho basically said that Frisk was a bad ref etc. Then some Chelsea fans threaten Frisk and his families lives and Mourinho becomes labeled the enemy of football.

I think what the refs are mad about is not that Mourinho complained about any bad calls, which he did and everyone does. They are mad because he accused Frisk of colluding with Rijkaard to steal the game. And continued to criticize Frisk up until the second leg. I don't know if UEFA has completed their investigation of Mourinho's charges, but i haven't seen anything confirming that Frisk met with Rijkaard at the half in order to confirm their plans to rob Chelsea. I believe the linesmen denied that the meeting happened. Its one thing to accuse someone of being a bad referee, its another to accuse them of being a corrupt referee. Hence the anger from UEFA.

I see. Thanks for clearing that up. I dont think it was right to call him the enemy of football but threatening to go to court is a little wacky. Mourinho has a decent point though:
"It's a shame that Frisk has decided to leave football.

"If, as some people have suggested, this decision is linked to the criticism of his performance in the Barcelona game, it seems strange to me.

"There's similar criticism every day, all around the world, for managers, directors and players. It's a normal situation."
