Why didn't we get him? we was interested along with Blackburn but we never got him, he was dirt cheap about 2 million and hes decent on corners/free-kicks and can play on the left.

Well maybe not but for 2M (or whatever it was) he could be a good replacement for Ole.

You're not giving Solskjaer much credit are you? Just because they're both Norwegian doesn't mean Pedersen could go on to become what Solksjaer has become for Manchester United. Solskjaer is a special player, and in terms of technical ability he can be replaced. But in terms of his never-say-die attitude, his love for the club and its fans, his great optimism, and his inspirational character, he is unique

it's obvious that Rovers are just that massive of a club. :D

Seriously though, I'm glad that he's settling in quite nicely with us. :)

Whoa, no need to bite my head off! We mite not be able to replace his never-say-die attitude ect bit i'm just thinking as a younger player to replace him, not necessary a direct replacements just a younger player whos pretty decent, whos cheap and mite turn out a bargain, i'm not saying he could replace Ole but for a few million - it's worth the gamble.

No need to attack the guy Ronalod 07 because he is right. Pederson is a good player and could have easily IMO play on the left hand side as cover for Giggs.

I think Pedersen is one of many players that'll prove to be a star on a decent team, and a perpetual bench-warmer on a better one. He's like Robbie Savage, Diego Forlan, and Darius Vassell (among others).

Quality player. Could contribute every now and then. But he lacks a few things that would let him compete with Ronaldo or Giggs for a regular spot. First, he's just slower. Secondly, his close control is inferior. He takes free kicks better than either, but there's no such thing as a place kicker in soccer (except for David Beckham).

I'm glad he's playing for Blackburn. He'll really help that team...and I think that playing for Blackburn is better for him. If Fergie (and me!) is wrong, then you can get him after a couple of years...he's not the type that'll ever be too expensive. And he'll be able to decide whether he'd rather be a major piece of a good team...or a squad player at an excellent team. That's hard for a player to decide coming into a big league.

or he could do a scott parker and go to chelsea and screw his career sideways.

He's looked good so far and his direct shots on goal from corners are something special! I think he could be a 'United Player' given time. Not a Giggs/Ronaldo but more than a Fortune/Forlan.

I agree that if he came to United, he would only be a sub and if that is OK with him then fine. But even with the few games I have seen him play for
Rovers, I would say that it is unfair to compare him to OGS.
Ole had an immediate impact on our team back in 1996 when he arrived
given limited time on the pitch and Pedersen has not come close to that.
He has helped Mark Hughes take Rovers to the FA Cup SF but the jury is still out on him having the same impact as OGS.
