Hey i was just wondering if anybody knows if i could send back a pair of Umbro Xai III's for a new pair of them. I bought mine at a Eurosport sale, so it was slightly used. I've had them for about 6 months and the elastic on the tongue of the left boot has snapped and a hole has developed in the leather in the toe box, also on the left boot. Since the Xai III's are older models, i was wondering if i would still get a new pair of Xai's?

i higly doubt they would take it back seeing as you already had it for 6 months. it won't hurt to try though.

There's no Xai IV model :D If it's not too late try to bring them to a shoe repair workshop. As far as I know they should fix football boots. About the elastic; actually no problem there. Just either use a tape or put that long tongue under the laces, so it won't bother you any more. Personally, I suggest a tape, because this way your touch won't be affected at all.

The ones I managed to find at ebay were in silver or black/white. They are from a Chinese seller so I have doubts about the authenticity...

Yep. I thought teh X-Lite were the Xai 4?

The only thing I don't like about these new boots is displaced lacing system. I don't think umbro should change its traditions with straight middle size tongue.
