Hi guys. I bought a pair of adidas predator pulse samples (black/silver) off ebay about a month ago and i wore them today in a rugby match for the 2nd time (i bought them brand new with tags). After the match, to my burning fruistration, i noticed one of the adidas stripes on the instep of the right boot had torn away from the meshy bit of the boot. This is my second pair of pulses and on my classic ones the sole plate has nearly come off, but im more concerned with my sample ones that have ripped today. So i was just wondering if any1 knew what adidas' return policy is and if any1 has ever been in my position to return a pair of pulses. They are such crap quality!! Manias were better. Information, links, would be much appreciated.

J.

Go to Adidas.com and choose your home country's site. Find the customer services page, and call/email them. They should tell u to send them back with a letter and a reference number they have assigned to your complaint.

Salesman samples on eBay do NOT fall under the return policy! Only boots you buy in shops or webshops...

How will they ever find out? DO you have to send a reciept? :) :)

No you do not have to send a receipt.

But they will find out it's a Salesman sample coz that colorway is not in mass production!

And the fact that it will say 'sample' on the label inside the boot.

why dont they refund samples?

Because the chances are THEY never sold them , its more likley they were given to someone who sold them and pocketed the cash.

Because they're not actually supposed to be sold. Money shouldn't change hands for them. It's like record promos. They get sent out, they even get sold on Ebay but they're not supposed to.

Btw. It's not just Adidas. Any company would do the same.

I have a pair of Pulsions. After like 3 months a crack appeared just under swerve elements (where leather and outsole are joined). I e-mailed to adidas Canada, they said they send refunds only for top shoes  Pulsions are not the ones.

I just think the quality of Adidas boots has got pathetic. I had some pearl/red F50+ last week. I have worn the boots 3 times and the front is already scuffed. And i think the pulses are the worst boots EVER made by adidas. I really did love the manias and all the preds before them. But the pulses? I really do not rate them. The only adidas boots i would buy would be world cups they are still a quality boot and you know what you are getting.

Im preparing myself for the hate mail from all the adidas lovers out there now! Hahaha :D

Just my 2 pence worth!!

Made in China...Made in Taiwan...Made in Pakistan etc. :D (no offence here)
May be if they made them somewhere else, it would make'em better. However, the price will be relatively higher.

pence is the English equalvant to cents in the USA. hence 2 cents worth is the same as 2 pence worth

maybe yiou should start giving away vapors to bigsoccer members then? :D

but seriously, this is another thread with a big emphasis on i think. for some people adidas works, for some they don't. same with nike. i guess i'm one of those lucky ones who hasn't had problems with both. :D

The point that the salesmen make money off selling samples on eBay is wrong. Salesmen must purchase each sample. They resell them because they need to get their money back. And they CANNOT do it on eBay. The samples just exchanged hands and made their way on eBay. The way any other type of product makes its way on to eBay.

I have Pulses that went through exactly the same thing your Pulses did and they were samples as well. I have contacted Adidas directly and this was what they told me.
Thanks for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate your interest in our company.

Unfortunatley we are unable to take back any sample products purchase from a salesman. I recommend trying to contact the Salesman for a possible return.

Theres your answer. :(

I don't think there's any problem if the quality control is better. I had AZT2 ID made in China which still hadn't ripped after 2 years and the best boots ever for me, Asics Tigreor, is made in China.

The Copas are made in Germany, and they don't cost as much as the Preds... Diadora's entire line is made in Italy, but their boots are not the most expensive around.

I don't think it will be too far off from the reality when I say that when I pay 120 pounds for a pair of Preds, the actual cost for manufacturing and materials is probably 30-40 pounds. Even if Adidas made the Preds in Germany, I doubt the costs will increase by too much. It's just a matter of maximising profits for these big companies.

Maybe there is a problem with design too, I don't know...
