MOMENTUM! It is a huge part of sports. Let's hope that the Bolton win will motivate the lads...come on fellas, finish strong. Keep the pressure on Man Utd and Chelsea.

I know that Blackburn are playing better than the beginning of the season, tough gritty football, but they are definately beatable even in Ewood Park.

I see another very physical match in the cards, but the good guys in Red+White will pull it out 2-0.

Go on Gunners!

Time to Stick this one. :D

One week out, time for some light training and preparation for the match. Blackburn isn't that strong this year, but still don't underestimate them. We need to really get everyone to work on the passing. Last match we kept sending the ball between the D and the Mid and not connecting. If we can keep the passes connecting we will work it down and score loads of goals.

My only prediction is that Arsenal will win and a younger group will be out on the pitch.

Hughes has the Rovers playing tough defense, so if we crack that nut early....this match should be all wrapped up.

Four clean sheets in a row. Can we make it five?

You have to be happy with this draw.

This is not going to be a whitewash like the Portsmouth game. BlackBurn has a good manager, their ground has always been a jinxed ground against us (just like their favourite neighbour's ground) and Dickov is a huge Arsenal fan; he loves us so much especially whenever he score goals against us. :o Don't be surprised if it's a narrow victory like the Bolton game.

Narrow is fine in my book. As long as there is a tick in the W column at the end of the day I am happy!!!

It will be tough and there will be some sizing up of each other now that they are drawn together in the FA Cup Semis.

Defensive? us? are you kidding me? have you seen our kick-a$$ forwards?

Bothroyd
Gally
Jansen
Stead
Dickov (he doesn't count, too short!!)

You guys are in for a high scoring semi!!..... uh..... yeah.... yup, high scoring....

But really... I so wish our forwards had somemore punch in them (right now it's kinda like "help us Dickov, you are our only hope). and in the end you are right, we rely heavily on our defense at the moment)!

I'm a believer! I predict 2-1 to Rovers!

Years ago, when I was a young kid, I saw one of the best scorers on my team spoon a shot over the bar from all of 2 feet. No exageration and I will swear it on a stack of bibles--2 ft. And he was facing goal, shoulders squared, upright and not falling down.

I'll never see anything like it again. Similarly, FL8 will never miss another sitter like that again. Luckily it didn't effect the result.

You have to be happy with this draw. Yes, indeed. Hopefully Arsenal prevails over an inferior Blackburn, and Newcastle rides a wave over Man. United. I'd hate for Arsenal to face their bogey team right now.

But this is a league match.

I see a 3-2 win. Pires, Ljungberg, and Cesc.

Arsenal have been less than convincing against Rovers for the past three seasons, and I'm rather loath to play them twice in such a short span of time. If we have to botch one game, I'd rather it be the league.

I will be on the edge of my barf bag all morning. Another g**mn*ed 4:30 am TV experience.

Arsenal is destined to get another crack at Man U this year as well as pass them in the EPL standings... so we'll win 2-0 both times, with Freddie and Vieria chipping in some goals.

This match thread lacks focus! Is it for this weekend's match or the FA cup one? Catfish made it for this weekend but HubGunner thinks its the FA Cup. Then we have pictures from our last FA Cup match and ibreak4coffee's wonderful ManU predictions.

I demand that we focus on the match this weekend. ;)

Now lets talk about this exciting contest between a team that is trying to hop ManU for the ultimate prize that is.......automatic qualification for the CL (not quite as exciting as a BRAND NEW CAR behind curtain number 3) and one that just hopes to continue to look down at the likes of Norwich and WBA.

Oh forget about it. Lets hijack the match thread while Rick isn't looking.
