whats the difference between the series 1 vapors and the series 2? i've tried both and i really didn't notice any difference except for the stripes.
what about the predator pulses? there has to be a difference as they re-released the black and red ones and released them as PrPulse 2.

more padding means a heavier boot right? didn't notice any improvement in comfort though. mmm...

the first run of the vapor 1 (WC 2002) had no heel padding at all and very little stud pressure protection ont eh ball of the foor as well as being pinched and narrow in the forefoot and toe box.
the second run of the vapor 1had more heel padding and was offered in many colors like the balck and blue, chrome, blacka nd red, white and orange to name a few
the vapor 2 (cinder, photo blue, red and mist) first run had a wider forefoot and toe box than the first series vapors.
the second run of the vapor 2 (gold, orange, navy, grey) had a higher cut heel and more padding where blisters were caused and much more padding in the forefoot area, these are much better shoes in terms of comfort than any of the older vapors.

Jc18star's description is probably right about the Vapor's. The only real time I have noticed the difference is after I changed boots halfway through a mtach, and I would say the original Vapor's (I have the charcoal/blue Vapor 1's) are definitely lighter than the others. However the newer ones are a lot more comfortable, so I would definitely say that if you were going to buy a pair, get the new ones.
I think people who bought the original vapor's would agree that they are used to them but for people who are used to comfort they would be too much to deal with.

There shouldn't really be a NOTICEABLE difference in weight. I switched from a silver/white/red vapor I, to a photo blue/white/red vapor I/II (whatever,) and my photo blue ones have more paddind and are more comfy, but they're 1 and a half sizes bigger, but I still didn't feel a difference in weight. :) Best boots I've ever worn. :)
