After lurking around Big Soccer for years I've decided to come out and play with the other kids. I think it was seeing Drew Carey on the Tonight Show that gave me the confidence. I grew up on "American" sports. My kids started playing soccer about twelve years ago. We did the rec league, traveling club, premier club, high school team progression in California. I became more fanatical as the years went by. I was vaguely aware that the World Cup was in the USA in '94. I ditched work to watch Holland play Brazil in France '98 (The Dutch were the better team that day). I still watch my videos of World Cup 2002 games. I've learned a lot about soccer from these boards. I find these boards to be very entertaining. I love soccer. I love the humaness of it. Struggle, effort, teamwork...I'm tearing up here.
